Is it possible for me to use and share this footage on my youtube page? I share footage from all kind of activities on our ocean. Cargo ships in the 1960s till now, oil rigs, fishing vessels, etc. Of course full credit will be given to the owner of the footage. Looking forward to your reply. Kind regards. Cheers!!!!
It’s mostly about the weight of the ship vs the weight of the wave. Ships are usually point in the front in order to Pierce the wave thereby mitigating the waves density of force. The WWI Dreadnoughts were so heavy, so slow and technology unknown, ship design was in its Model T stage.
not sure where you got perfect storm from a ten foot swell im sure she is seaworthy but it would have been nice seeing that big ass bow plowing into some thirty footers but nice click bait i been in some real storms !!!!!
I won’t lie the x bow is good but once waves get too big I can see issues with it deflecting waves up over the superstructure instead of just cutting through them and could act as a ramp in sorts
I always imagined, since I was a kid, in the middle of those massive destructive hurricanes and storms, and the unfortunate souls that are trapped in them, that all the sea creatures must feel just so tucked in, being in the midst of such destruction, and being in complete safety just below dwelling in their natural habitat
@@johnyguitar258 image me walking in to the drydock and looking up unto this fucking spaceship :-p at least that's what it felt like.. there was nothing like it, it still looks sexy as hell
the x-bow ships is better than the normal boats, search on '' Testing the Ulstein X bow in VSF (Vehicle Simulator) '' at youtube, and you will see the different of a normal boat and the x-bow in storm ;)
the three white lights in the mast means i am towing the three red-white-red is unable to manoeuvre the three red-red-red lights means danger, i am in the wrong lane or not able to do anything .
@Scott2point0 Three red masthead lights indicate that she is constrained by draught, while the condition of restricted in her ability to manoeuvre is shown by three masthead lights: upper and lower being red and the middle one is white. Source: COLREGS Rule 27 (b).
Even if the storm was not that bad, as some complain, the three red lights on the ship indicate that it is unable to maneuver, and the fires on deck probably indicate why.
@Fredrik This comment was meant for another video about a boat that sank. I often have multiple windows open and must have commented in the wrong window. I can see why you said WTF. I am WTF as well. This is not the video I meant to comment on.
that ugly hull design is actually working flawlessly!. must be more relaxing for the crew to work in those conditions than on a boat with regular hull design
in poor visibility like this ocean doesn't look so intimidating it doesn't seem so vast, but in clear weather it doesn't even matter if the sea is calm you really feel all alone
@kajband where is the killer whales
Estos barcos seran la maravilla dl fututo t imaginas los crucero con esta proa en esa tormenta se ve co si nada grnial me gusta😊

The thumblehome bow holds the bolt stable
Just shows how modern designs can be better. Will this be shape of Bering Sea crab boats?
She rides that swell beautifully
cool
Awesome 👌
มันต้องอย่างนั้นสิ
Well I’m like 14 years late but I expected to see a killer whale....😔 needless to say I am a lil disappointed 😂

Dude I waited the entire video thinking this was about orcas
This video shows nothing.

I was so high I started thinking damn those orcas at sea world will never experience this in their lifetime
Blackfish 😁😁😁😁😁
I was searching for orcas swimming in storms not a ship named orca

Would've been better without the petroleum jelly on the lens, but thanks anyway .
She looks rides nice. Well mannered.

looks like a paddling canoe bow to me... norwest canoe company
stormy%%&***
Look at how stable the X-bow design is..That's what a nice piece of engineering looks like everyone.
Nice, this vessel is in Trinidad and Tobago now
What company designed this vessel.
dry dock curacao
Ulstein Design.. Xbow
ryan ry yes it is
Thx! I'll check it out.
it's not a brand new design, the first ship with this design is Bourbon Orca, it's the boat you see in this movie, built in 2006 at Ulstein verft..

I'm very far from marine things and accidentally here, but just curious about these X-bow new ships - are they good or bad? Thanks.
I came for a Fish/whale, stayed for the christmas boat.
was a towing service?
That is one ugly ship.
i dont get it.. so thats y i stay on land
what the "hull" .... :D :D
Lol Its A Monster At 0:55
@Scott2point0 fail
Looks like you could serve scolding hot tea,it appears so smooth.
@Scott2point0 Fires on deck??? lol that's funny.
damn she's towing a RIG !!! power in that thing must be immense and in that weather too :)
those firers are decklights
the three white lights in the mast means i am towing the three red-white-red is unable to manoeuvre the three red-red-red lights means danger, i am in the wrong lane or not able to do anything .
Bollicks
@Scott2point0 There are no fires on deck. Those are floodlights..........

Aye, avast ye, she is constrained by draught!
Even if the storm was not that bad, as some complain, the three red lights on the ship indicate that it is unable to maneuver, and the fires on deck probably indicate why.
lmao
That didn't help either.
