Incredibly well made video. The music was a little overbearing at times, but otherwise great content and presentation!

Very well made video but isn’t it a bit early to make some of the claims in the video? We haven’t even seen a snippet of gameplay yet, so how the art style is represented in-game and staying true to the original games, etc. is all speculation.

I hoped someone would make a video like this, and you have, excellent analysis.

The last images are some of my favorite of Marathon. The very last one with the Security Officer holding up what looks like a spine like design is my screen saver on my phone.

I think I still prefer the classic art style but what they got going right now is not bad, quite unique actually. I never understand when people say "it looks like Fortnite" or "it looks like Destiny" (although finding out the art director did both Destiny and Marathon in kind of funny) if you don't like the art style come up with a real criticism.

Damn, this takes me back to Art/Design School. I used to made my designs like this throughout my college career, There’s a good amount of designers that kind of set the fundamentals of “Graphic Realism”. I think this will be pushed forward and be define in the design era of the 2020s

My biggest gripe with Hazard Zone is that it has no payoff or progression. Maybe if it gave you gadgets or weapons to use in main game that would be neat but its not. The only real thing you get out of hazard zone is calling cards that have codex readings on the lore of 2042.

Hi. Hi. Hi Jake yes I'm watching. I said your dad's DMZ, but you got it right with your dad's extraction shooter. My daughter smiled looking over at me when you called me out and said "That's my dad! That's my dad!" The thing I like the most about Hazard Zone compared to other extraction modes is a healthy variety of maps.

Thanks for the shoutout. It’s a very fun and nostalgic experience for me to walk around the corridors - glad you enjoyed it. Blaspheme Quarantine is the most finished and accurate level. It should be possible to make most of the game (including the puzzles) a lot more 1:1 over time. For the movement speed you can tweak it in questzdoom’s VR settings. Grenade jumping.. Maybe?

Doom music can make gardening look badass. Reboot was a good cyber warfare 90s cartoon. I would love to try this one day. Now I want to see what Halo CE looks like in VR.
