    Nice tutorial. I hope you can help with a problem I'm having. After loading a clip onto my timeline, the picture that appears on the preview screen is tiny, which makes it hard to do any editing. I've tried enlarging the box that appears around the clip, but that doesn't seem to help. Is there a button I need to click on to make the clip fill the entire preview screen?

      Thank you! If you want to be able to view a clip full screen, look to the right of the "rewind", "play", and "fast forward" controls and you should see what looks like the four corners of a square. If you click on this, it will enlarge the clip to full screen. I hope this helps!

      @@valorexcel Thanks for your reply. You're correct, when I click on the icon you suggested, the clip does fill the screen but then I can no longer see my timeline. When I look at your tutorial, your clip fills the preview screen and you can still see your timeline. I only get about 3 inches of video on my preview screen.

    How do you move the video of you around the screen in the editing process?

    • @valorexcel
      @valorexcel 13 днів тому

      When you're ready to start editing, position your cursor on the image of you as it appears in the preview screen of the editor. If you right click, there should be an option for "picture in picture". If you hover over the right arrow, you'll see that it gives you the options of 'top left', 'top right', 'bottom left', and 'bottom right'. I hope that helps!

    I have been asked to split an existing 53 minute video talk into sections, and then send each section over to our marketing team. If you have any Help guides on that, it would be really useful! (Your instructions are so clear, thank you!)

    • @valorexcel
      @valorexcel 2 місяці тому

      Thanks so much for your comments! If you want to separate your 53-minute video into sections, I'd recommend that you import the full video into a Clipchamp project and then use the "slice" tool to divide it into sections. First, put a slice at whatever the end point of your first section is. Then, delete the section you don't need and export the video. Continue to do this for each section that you need to separate: create a new project, import the full 53-minute video, and use the slice tool. Put a slice at the exact point where the previous section ended, then put a slice wherever you want the current section to end. After making the slices, discard the sections you don't need and then export the video. This should enable you to have the sections that you need, each as its own video. I hope this helps!!

    very abrupt start, you should've import video, edit it and then bring in other clips. I didn't see any options to give text a color background. You also should've talk some more about "recording" and how to show paragraphs next to the webcam on the same screen and flawlessly change the texts from one to another, like teacher talking to students and showing the quotes from the text book on the side and changing them like a slide.

    Is there a way to make the pictures of a slide show fit the music automatically? Or do I have to stretch each photo individually? Please tell me I don't have to do that.

    • @valorexcel
      @valorexcel 3 місяці тому

      Hello! Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn't currently have an option in Clipchamp for setting the duration of the clips, so you would need to adjust each as you bring it into the timeline. You could take the total time (in seconds) of the music you're using and divide it by the number of slides in your presentation to determine what the duration of each needs to be. Another option would be to create a slide show in PowerPoint, adjust the duration of each slide in "Transitions", then export the slide show as an mp4. I hope this helps and I wish you the best with your video projects!

    Very , Very good video on the way to use this software, well done and at a pace we can all follow along and learn, not like so many others that do the presentations so , so fast, you just get lost.. the young ones have no idea how to present a instruction video , one item I cannot find in any video, is how do you readjust or edit the text to speech you have loaded onto the time line , is there some way to return to the text and correct it and place it back into the time line or do I have to delete the first one and redo it all again. Also if there is a limit to how many characters i can do in text to speech is this limit on the whole video or just for each section of text. ??? Thanks

    • @valorexcel
      @valorexcel 3 місяці тому

      Thanks so much for your kind remarks! Recently, Microsoft Clipchamp made some changes to the layout of the Text to Speech function, so things look a little different now. Once you create a Text to Speech voice track and it's been added to the timeline, you now have access from a toolbar on the right to make edits to what you've already typed. If you need to create a voiceover that exceeds 10 minutes in length, the best option at this point is to make separate videos that contains only Text to Speech (no images), then export them, save them to your desktop, and import them into the media section of Clipchamp. You can then add them to the timeline to make whatever length you need. We're considering putting together an episode in the near future about how to do this.

    Just watched, Thank You for an excellent tutorial, the pacing was excellent. I am a senior teaching myself as I go. Most tutorial videos are paced to fast for a novice to understand, using words I don't know, actions I am not familiar with. I watched Clip Champ tutorials for several months and had no idea what to do. I was forced to quit using Window 11 for videos a few months back, so I have been stumbling thru with Clip Champ learning as I go. The pacing was great and I picked up some new skills from this video. Thank You, just subscribed and will be watching Terry @ Tardis Spider

    This is cool!!! I only wished that it was going to use the record and create function. Whenever I try to use that function, my computer video gets stuck in a matrix. I don't see any links to the voice over programs you mentioned in the description.

      Thanks so much! We may do a future episode covering the "Record & Create" options. Also, there are two links in the description. One is for "An Intro to Microsoft Clipchamp", and the other is "How to Record a Voiceover in PreSonus Studio One". I hope that helps!

      @@valorexcel I didn't know my own computer had a voice recorder. I saved that as an mp3 and put it into clipchamp after matching up the audio to the closest moment that fit. This video still helped!! <3
