I considered whether to jump across the river, but while I was walking up to the glacier, both large rocks and ice came down, so I didn't go to the other side of the river. The road is also gone down by the water, the river has simply dug away the road.

Beautiful!!! I was on holiday in Norway from 10th till 27th july. I did a roundtrip: Started in Oslo, train to Flåm, boat to Bergen, stayed there for a week, then boat to Stavanger and finally train back to Oslo. I did the walk from Myrdal to Flåm. That also has a lot of hairpins. As I said, I walked down. It was a very nice day. This video is also very nice.

Thank you for the kind words, Nærøydalen is the neighboring valley to Flåmsdalen. Nærøydalen has much steeper and higher mountains. The road on which I cycled has been closed for several years, the dry walls of the road collapsed, so it opened this summer and can only be cycled or walked.

As ugly as this ride is on the train with Railcowgirl, it's great on the bike!

Specialized levo comp (2020 mod), great bike. I use this bike in all sorts of terrain. It is a great climber and very stable on descent.
