The part when she said she thought of school as her safe haven made my tears hit like bullets. Because me and my brother felt like school was an escape, like a safe haven to. from all the domestic violence and the arguing, verbally abuse, and chaos in our house hold we had to face and go through sometimes. And when I started high school i always thought the school animal which was a lion, was god. It sounds dumb but every picture of a lion at school that I would come by I would pray to it sometimes and it was my hope.The lion was around the school and when I would see one it reminds me that god will always be with me
THat is very moving and inspires me to think deeply as a teacher how I can be most helpful.

My wife's father went through long process and now the entire family are all legal citizens of America. So what makes it OK for one to sacrifice to go through the process while another can just jump on the train and ride for free. the elders are the ones to blame, should have come into this country legally, not illegally.
