I've had the 2015 and 2017 JKU Models, more than likely the 2016 just as the 2015 and 2017 came with 3.21 without the tow package option and 3.73 with the added tow package option on the build sheet. I also found out that the dealers salesman can add the tow hitch and wiring to a jeep leading you to believe it came with the factory tow package with 3.73 gears and not tell you any difference. My 2015 had the 3.73's which ran great with 33's sluggish with 35's and when I traded in the White 2015 for the 2017 back in 2017 I told them I wanted the same JKU with the tow package 3.73 gears only Black and he had the shop add the hitch, I found out 6 months later and went back to chew his ass out but he had quit or got fired already and the dealer didn't care what he had done. The 33's run ok with the 3.21 gears but it made me mad enough that I've never done any more business with that dealer and never will.

Can you add a suspension lift with that as well ?

No exhaust leak with this install?

Just went to 35s. I notice when I slow down to almost a complete stop it sounds like the engine is almost wanting to stall but doesn't. Maybe because I have not adjusted the speedometer as of yet but just curious if this was present for you or anyone else.

I have wind noise and a water leak hopefully a new seal and an adjustment will fix me up.

Did the same wheel spacers work? and are wheel spacers safe? I have Sahara JL and I am considering 33's with stock inch rim.

I have a 73 CJ5 since new , when I bought it they put 32” and said they were best when those were gone I put 33” on and ran that size for fifty years with 3:73s the little 304 did well . Now have a LT1 and 4:56s (strong) still have 33”s . The 304 would get about 15mpg on the road and now I get maybe 13 to 14 if I can keep my foot out of it , no comparison , it will go any where I want but at 76 years old I am a little step back on the hard stuff. I would say think about wear and tear and the fun factor, go with what is right for you. Enjoy

But I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place I currently run 33 on my stock JL however I really like to go up to 35 in I do have three and a half inch lift kit on it currently so I feel 35s will clear however some have told me to change my gears if I'm going up to 35 and some said my stock gear should be okay what do you think?

These guys are scammers and crooks don't use they change pricing when they want and are not worth it. I have used them for a while and now they force me to pay more. Thx for the video. My driver side door sticks out on the bottom opposite corner. I tried adjusting the striker plate and that didn't help. I'll try what you suggest. The weird thing is it only makes a whistling noise when I switch the air from recycle to fresh air. But it's coming from that driver side door. 🤷‍♂️

i have a shimmy introduced when i went from 33 17 to 35 20 spent thousands since trying to get rid of it. so im thinking of going back to 33 to save a few lbs...annoying JL 18. The shimmy is mostly gone but im sure it will creep back...

Thanks for such a helpful video. I plan to lift my Wrangler body soon to accommodate larger tires. This is something I feel confident doing myself.

I just purchased a 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Sport. It has the stock stereo in it, no video screen, just good 'ol fashioned stereo. Will this stereo with Apple Car Play still fit in the chassis/casing or is this too big to fit? I know it fits yours but you have a Sahara which had a video screen in your original stereo. Thanks in advance!

I use 33s on my CJ-5 with no lift. I would expect a Wrangler with a lift to be on 35s or higher. A lift doesn’t really give you ground clearance. Your axles are still the same height off the ground. The only thing that affects ground clearance at the axle is larger diameter tires.

Between stock tires from the factory and 35s put on you’re gonna lose about 8 to 10 miles per gallon. With all that extra weight on each tire. Especially on the highway.

I had a 6 speed sport, went from 33's to 35's, that the last time I used 6th gear, looked better but lost MPG and power
