Thank you! Yes, you can definitely apply for a postdoc at MIT. MIT media lab is a good option. Postdoc applications don't usually have a timeline. You can apply whenever you are ready like a few months before completing your PhD.

The stipends for PhDs and postdocs are mentioned in the official websites of institutes so I would say it varies from institute to institute. And it is easily available on all the institute websites. But I can compile some and let you know in some video

Salary depends on the kind of job one is doing after PhD. People who have specific degrees like Physics, computer science etc can apply..I don't think Phds in biological sciences can apply

Hi, I can't provide specific answers because I personally don't know many undergrads who come here from India. The broad answer is that a good CV which includes a good academic background, prizes in science olympiads and a good score in IIT JEE helps. SAT scores are counted so you should definitely take the SAT exam. A girl from my school got admission in Stanford after 12th by getting a good score in SAT. Hope this helps!

You can also take the ACT exam...the syllabus for both SAT and ACT can be found online..it won't be very different from what you have studied until class 12.

You will apply for PhD yourself..IISER does not play any role in this after bs ms. So you can apply to a foreign university based on your toefl or gre score and most of them have their own applications

Hi, I did my PhD from India..I am doing my postdoc here and the salary is the same as the standard postdoc salary in MIT

@@prachiojha2897 haa sister but i had few doubts - 1) after completing ur postdoc in neuroscience department from MIT how much will u get paid, can u tell approx or expected amount of salary becouse i had seen a person from IIser Kolkata he had completed his bsms in chemistry as a major and done phd in swizz he had told me an approx salary of his like 1.2cr but u had taken biology as a major right in ur undergrad then u can also expect like this amount of salary after completing ur postdoc is that possible or only physics, chemistry and maths major taking students only get that amount of salary

Hi, that depends on the kind of job he is doing, for example if I become an assistant professor in India then my salary would be around 100000 rs but if I switch to an industry in the US then it will be in crores in rupees.. usually industry jobs have higher salaries compared to academic jobs

People go into all kinds of fields after bs ms from IISER Mohali. There are no campus placements per se but there is an opportunity cell that advertises positions. Phd in India is definitely possible and everyone gets a stipend. I did my phd in India and many bs ms students from IISERs also do their Phds in India

Hi, if money is the main criteria then I think in research the chances are 50-50. You might end up in a good position but that will take time depending on your research field. I don't know much about NFSC Nagpur

Yes, even if your spouse doesn't work here you can still get a couple accommodation either in MIT or outside.

After a PhD in MIT or in India one can easily become a lecturer in a university. Pay scale depends on whether it is a gov or private institute and on the years of experience. From my lab at MIT, many people have also gone for data scientist positions, r&d in pharma, consultancies and of course postdoc is also an option
