Hey guys in this video I show you a quick guide as to how I prune my proteas, these are king proteas we are growing on our farm Glenogle in South Africa. King proteas are really easy plants to grow given the right climate. We have been growing our 100 proteas for 5 years now and are still learning every day something new about them. I will do a video on all our proteas #plants #southafrica #Han...

Update on the lemon tree I grew from seed
I just got a lot of lovely herbs for Christmas, but my garden has been struggling. This video is just what I needed. Thank you, Thomas.
Why did you think it was time to repot ?
Does anyone know kW what the seeds look like. I think mine is after producing a load of them.
Excellent video
Hi there I picked up a couple of bags of horse manure off road from farmer and just spread it around the veggie garden . Is that ok ?
Hi. I work as gardener and I'm struggling with taking care of protease (king protea, lime light and there's one which is red grows like lime light). How to make them grow up ward. They are more like a shrub now. Please help
Love your foxglove video. Very simple and clear. Thanks. Going to transplant my baby foxgloves in my forest garden in B.C. Canada. Where are you?
They probably pollinated themselves my man. Most dioecious plants are self fertile. When the anther dehisce and release the pollen onto the stigma the plant has been pollinated.
I can hear you are from South Africa !!
Great video thank you! 💚
Hi, thank you. Could you please show us how to propagate from a cutting please?
Do you bleach your hair or is it naturally like that?
Can we get an update on your foxgloves? I had scattered seeds all over a section of my garden last fall when they went to seed and now I have literally 100's of seedlings!!! They are so tightly growing together that I am in the process of digging them up and potting them so I can replant them when it is warmer into other areas of my garden. This area is clay soil, horrible and difficult to work. I am so surprised that so many of them germinated into viable plants. The only thing that I wish was that they weren't biennials and that they came back every year. I think by next spring I should have enough to self seed on their own and make enough that I have them every year.
Charming and informative video.

Yo quiero tener este ficus audrey
Thank you 😊 great information
How are you Thomas?
I’m always worried that mulch is keeping the rain from reaching the roots!
Where are you located? Ah, SAF.
Great info, thanks. I’ll dig some up and plant them later today!
Can you explain what’s the difference between a flower and a leaf bud? Will it eventually become a flower?
Thank you so much for this. In a flat now first floor so am going to grow some. I can’t wait. ❤
Thanks for sharing❤❤❤
Thanks for the video, I just adopted one of these beauties and my room is in a basement with one NW facing window, is that going to be enough light for the plant ? I have a little bit direct sunlight like you said in the afternoon but there are many trees by my house, if my plants start telling me they need more light i also have a grow light set up in my bathroom!
My ficus audrey was and is still dropping leaves at an alarming rate! I just re-potted to try and save it but i dont understand what is happening! Any tips on why it would be turning yellow, then brown and drop? It is in a west facing window, and i allow the dirt to dry bewteen waterings. How dry does the soil need to be, do you stick the moisture meter all the way to bottom of the pot? At times the top of the soil is dry but the moisture reader shows moist to wet in the lower end of the pot. It is about 3.5 to 4ft tall, would 1 litre of water be sufficient every 10-14 days? Thanks for any help
I also have this problem, and can't seem to find a solution.
Really enjoyed this visual educational video. Perfect.
Hi I'm Thomas Bryan where you get it I never heard of this kind of ficus before is it avaliable In texas 🤔 it really pretty
Thank you, that was very informative.
Hi Thomas, I'm glad to see you are still gardening and making videos. How are your Worms 🪱
I had no luck with my ficus Audrey. When I got her she had a few leaves, I water only when necessary but she keeps dying and coming back. She looks good one day and the next day lousy! She’s still in nursery pot I got her in! So annoyed 🤦🏻♀️I want her to look like yours😞
Hi Thomas, great to find your video. I am also originally from SA & know how nice the weather is there & how it would be suitable for the Parrot Beak Impatience to thrive. I have great success with the plants in South East Australia & am absolutely enthralled by the unique behaviour of the seedpods & how they pop open when you hold them in your closed hand ... The seeds germinate in the big pots in which the plants live (in the shade, under the eaves of the house) & there will be hundreds of plants to transplant this summer! I enjoy sharing them with my friends who also are all haPPy to own the gorgeous plants. Look forward to checking out more of your videos soon.
Good morning My Dear from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸 Nice video. I hope you and the Worms are doing well 💗 🪱💓

I have giant proteas in my garden. I have never pruned them. How much can I prune back? The plants are more than 3m tall, but not very dense.
You can cut off about 30 cm of growth
