I wouldn't worry the least bit today, .. about a possible loss of some unknown amount years from now when it's time to sell. He may very well face some type of loss, .. but that's a bridge I'd sweat over years from now. in the meantime, .... 3LZ Z06 TODAY!!!

Hey thanks for your input. Honestly though, this car is not something I look at for maintaining its value when it is time to sell. Its a depreciating asset and I bought this to enjoy it and share my experience with the audience through aftermarket product reviews, installs, and just plain fun driving and car shows. So for an entry point on a well optioned/top trim Z06, I find this as a great buy that I plan to enjoy and share on the channel. Thanks again for the comment :)

@@NuHorizonC8 Let me put it in a different way. Buying a depreciating asset/product to enjoy, wouldn't you want to spend less money to do so(a smaller net depreciation)? I would.

@@allsportsexpert not necessarily, especially since my situation would be rather unique to others with sponsorship deals and such for a good portion of the products I review surrounding the C8 platform, and specifically this Z06 now. So while this physical asset may depreciate, there are other investments surrounding it as well that make it worth it overall. True it could be said getting a lower trim option Z without the history but a higher or equivalent purchase pricepoint could help it retain some value at point of resale but theres going to be alot of modifications done that will impact the price anyways (some probably in the negative since mods tend to carry little retaining value). So for me, getting in at a lower pricepoint for a higher trim is justifiable. Plus like I said, i just enjoy sharing my experience on this stuff and overall Im here to enjoy it and make fun videos of building this car up. So to me, its a great deal but i understand some may not believe that and I respect their opinions. Its part of why I enjoy making content for this channel and am open to differing oppinions. 😎👍

@NuHorizonC8 I am worth low 8 figures and I still want to save money and look for deals. As a matter of fact, rich people are rich because they work hard, lucky and smart, but most importantly they are wise with money. I know very few people, actually none that I know of, who don't want to save money, you can be the exception, or most likely, you didn't think about it. Why will people want to spend more money than is necessary, if they know about it, no matter how they make their money? Clearly, they don't. Anyway, it is your money that you are wasting, not mine, but your excuse doesn't make any sense nor hold any water.

@@allsportsexpert honestly the disconnect we are having is because im purposefully not outlining my whole list of financial goals with you. Ive only shared a very surface level description on a single cog or call it variable in the wheel which to be frank Isnt anyones business except my wife and my own. So yes to you it may look like a incorrect financial choice or bad deal but it doesnt account for other plans I have. The loss in extra depreciation of my Z06 over the years is acceptable to me. And i honestly have been blessed with great friends who are worth easily 7 and 8 figures whom have been very successful and understand alot of my financial goals who I trust thier input and guidance. They understand my reasoning and i feel pretty confident on my financial path so far. So again id say this is more of a miscommunication and can understand your perspective but its not the full picture of the situation. Have a good one 😎👍

I just picked up a ‘24 3LZ Z07 package up for $10k under for my dad. Was a Michigan only deal with the dealership after the buyer who originally ordered it backed out. Only 10 miles on the odometer. I couldn’t believe it myself.

Thanks bud! So I did not purchase the extended warranty at the dealership. The plan is to purchase one near the end of the original extended warranty. You can sometimes find better details at that point with enough research.

I will say because it was a buyback there is a select number of banks that will approve of a loan but they do exist so its not impossible. I just took care of updating my insurance and it worked out pretty well. Only an increase of my premium by like $170 compared to my C8 stingray. So it came out to about $30 more a month which is reasonable honestly by price difference alone between the two variants

oof thats a tough break! Yeah honestly there were a certain set of criteria that had to be met undoubtedly for me to have puled the final trigger and maintaining warranty was one of them for sure.

Thanks for mentioning it. Honestly I don't view resale of vehicles as a high priority since they are always going to be a depreciating asset unless its something unique like a rare classic car. So when it does come to the point years down the line where I sell this car for a new project car, I'll be ok with where it ends up. :)

That was my thought honestly as well at the beginning. Where it helps though is that the car orginally is from California which has more buyer protecting laws in effect in this case that make buy backs more possible for less impactful reasons. Between that and I had litterally gone line by line on the car work history (independent than what the dealer gave me to verify legitimacy), i felt pretty confident about it. Plus all the repairs were conducted and then the owner of the dealer himself drove the car around for another 1k miles with no issues so that made me feel good as well. Yeah its still a calculated risk but im feeling pretty good about it.

Haha yeah its a unique situation i would say and its definitely a calculated risk (as with anything like this) that I felt good about after alot of personal research and understanding the problem it had that was fixed. Probably not for the regular person who wants something that was flawless from the start.
