On this channel we save old rigs and fix them up. We range from small cars to heavy equipment. I especially enjoy working on the old vehicles from the 1950's.

Do you actually want it?
You must not work on 1tons much 🤣
no i work on semis mostly this threw me off
Wah boo hoo.
Thank you! Got me running again! Really appreciate this
no problem glad to help
No it’s pretty standard on the older models
Ah, Ford, you never fail to disappoint
They prompted this engineer to lead over all models of Ford😂😂
Welcome to the ford logic!
Id probably be doing a little fine grinding
That is when I bring out the 4 1/2 inch flapper wheel.
Normally you have to pull axle and two hub nuts on the heavier trucks with floating bearings. At least you can change the brake drum with out buying the hub also.
True that's what I was expecting to find. happy it was only this but was a little annoyed by having to pull the shaft still.
@@dieseldock8936 ha. I hear you there. There is always so much up keep saving a little time helps for the next pre maintenance idem i call tinkering. Then axle gives you an oil leak. Plus don't forget to tighten exhaust manifold bolts. Now you have to find new tapered screws. I got them somewhere. I carry a rechargeable head lamp now days for all the late night work after hours. Gezz it is midnight. My truck is a rolling tool box . Extra everything that gets borrowed and you forget where it all is.
Revs:👎 Gunshots:👍💀
Those tail lights are original. That new fuel pump probably has lifetime warranty You may need it. Looks like a good truck. The transition from 2nd to 3rd takes a little getting used to.
I can't get my engine to temp just by idling in order to start parked regen. Staying at 140.
Could be a couple things. Your fan could be on, or you have a faulty thermostat.
@@dieseldock8936 Okay so I just drove it Around the block three times and it's up to temperature but when I Push the Regen Button on the dash all it does is Flash It won't go into regen Parking brake is on It is a neutral and I have No feet on any petals or anything
@@Tarey-y7n you might have a fault with the Regen system. This is where you will need a scanner to watch the system. Exhaust temperature has to be at a certain temperature before Regen can happen and I have seen where an unadjusted overhead caused a lower exhaust temperature. Only way to really know exactly whats wrong with the Regen system is a scanner.
Blockfront?
yep
I have a 1974 JD 2630 diesel. Got water in the oil so if you have video of doing the rebuild on that I'd love for you to share it on UA-cam. Thanks
It was an engine I did when I was in college. Technically don't I had permissions to film that much. Not a very complicated engine though.
"I don't look nothin like no damn tow truck"
I've had issues with harmonic balancers in my Dodge abd Jeep! Go figure😮
Nice to see you're back!
My 61 IHC C110 has a 266cid engine and I love it! So far it has been an outstanding engine. Lots of power and smoooooth running. I continue to search for ways to make it more efficient in gas mileage. I'd love fuel injection but so far only Holley Sniper system is an option and they are pricey!
There a great motor. They have the thickest cylinder walls out of that engine family. I've often wondered why a person couldn't make an adapter plate for the old throttle body injection off of the late 80's and early 90's chevy small blocks. I might have to try that one of these days
Mater
Hey bud, buy a yoke puller. Cost like $150 and works every time.
I know I was in a pinch
Dope scope!!
What if the stop engine light is coming on with it too?
Than you probably have another issue. Whether it's a faulty emissions system or something with the engine. Have a scanner plugged into it while it's in Regen.
This is actually a 1965 model International. Great video! Thank you for sharing!
Probably made in 65. It was registered as a 66.
Tow Mater
Feels like that should be its nickname.
My 2015 4300 the parked Regan doesn’t come up on the dash only every maybe 500 to 1000 miles it lets out smoke any reason why this is happening?
Ok. So to clarify, what your saying is that your park regen light never comes on. And that every 500 to 1000 smoke comes out. Thats how I interpreted it. So those trucks do go into a mild regen while driving. the park regen is an extreme version to try to get your dpf unplugged. The smoke you are seeing every 500 to 1000 miles is probably the mild regen kicking on. If you do a lot of short trips in the truck your mild regen might not be able to complete which would kick it on more often, hence the more frequent puffs of smoke. Now your park regen light comes on only when your exhaust pressures are high enough, which is a sign your dpf is a little plugged. The more often you see the parked regen light, the more plugged your dpf is. So not seeing the light is not a bad thing.
@@dieseldock8936 oh perfect thanks for the help I thought something was wrong I appreciate you
Tow mater😮
Why were you welding without gloves on?
Nice man
Thanks
Nice looking old T-20. I have a 1939 T-20 that was seized when I got it. I've completely restored it. But recently a thrust bearing in the governor failed. I may have to pull the radiator to get to it. It'll be interesting to watch you restore this one.
hes like a kid with a new toy😀
I know. The problem though is that he won't share. 😂
i dont share mine either@@dieseldock8936
👍👍👍👍
Best chevy edit ever
Thanks.
My truck regen button just flashes but wont go into regen
Try the parked Regen. If that doesn't work you are probably gonna need a forced Regen with a scanner unless something else is wrong.
Pull both breaks , turn truck off for a few seconds then turn back on, then try again

Where?
A couple valves were stuck on mine when I got it.
Yea, most of those WCs were open cabs and people stuck all kinds of closed cabs on them after the war, first I’ve seen with a Chevy. She’ll be an interesting ride! Follow my channel for my 1950 real Power Wagon restoration 😉
Yeah first time I've seen one like this too
The grease monkeys got a lot of videos I watch them all the time. Thanks.
We had a '62 with the 235, my dad tried adjusting the tappets himself. The engine always had a tick-tick after that, still drove fine. Sold it '78.
They were a good motor
Look at all those cool toys!
I’d burn the whole thing
😂😂😂😂
You know more about your bus, than I do and thank you for the video
Some old people don’t learn
Not for sale. I understand your not supposed to run the starter like that. But it's his bus, not mine. He knows about them because he used to sell them. And no ether. I hate to use that stuff on a diesel. Washes out the cylinders.
He don’t do your starter that way he’s gonna buy another one and they’re not cheap
Is it for sale Kentucky?
Put a little ether to it
Wish I had a tractor like that
