I like the ZX-10R a lot, the quality is great. But this bike definitely needs you care.

This is some onboard lap at Ulu Choh Dirt Park small MX track. I was riding a KTM 450 SX-F 2018. Track is quite dry and sllipery. Happy to follow Sur-Ron Light Bee for some laps. This bike is awesome! But obviously it's designed for single trail & enduro. Keep improving my skill. Camera: DJI Osmo Action (Video compressed too much by UA-cam!!)

Thanks Daniel for your video
If every video about maintenance was like this. UA-cam would be a better place. Watching this as i am not even owning a mt09 (yet😅)
Nice instructions. Thank you.
Excellent video (best valve check video) like you I love this engine
please dont bend the feller gauge u will get wrong readings
excellent explanation. thank you. keep it up.
Awesome video thank you
I'm a owner of a NC700X 2012, in my case the T1 is the one of the right sitting and T2 is the one of the left sitting, but I had the opposite idea before to make the adjustment. You should to check if the valves have clearance after you put the flywheel on T1 or T2 mark, if the 4 valves of one side are loose, these ones you need to adjust, you shouldn't adjust the 4 valves of one side that are tight.
Wrong cylinder number!

Chen what gaskets did you use or change?
Very nice video👏It's really interesting. Thanks for sharing it. I wish you have a wonderful day. Take care and keep it up! 👍
Do you have to remove the oil to do this?
No, just the coolant if you’re taking the radiator off
In all seriousness, one would of read and studied the model bike manuals
Love your video
I know it’s been 3 years but I am saving this video. Great job explaining.
Thanks for this -- a really good walk-through. Nice design in the KTM too.
Nice clear vid Daniel. I watched this over a year ago before I'd acquired my Tracer 900 GT. Mine is now approaching its' 40k km valve check so I'm getting myself ready to perform it. Thanks again.
Hola cómo estás saludos desde argentina me podrías decir cómo puedo borrar la luz de check desde ya muchas gracias

hello brother can you tell me if the valves shims size OD 9.5mm for the yamaha mt10 sp 2019 thanks 😊
Who the hell cut the Air filter on purpose???
Today I crashed my 690 engine stalling problem
brilliant video, thanks
Excellent video!! Well done!! Very indepth and informative, clear instruction and to the point
Thanks for making this video. Helped me on my valve job on a 690. <3
加油!
Have you owned this bike since new? This engine is known on the forums to have tight exhaust valves LONG before 40k kilometers/26k miles. First check should be at 16k miles. If you wait you may burn exhaust valves. More then a few have had this. I'm wondering how yours were all good at 40k KM. Someone else just did them?
Great video! Looks like a pretty real pain in the ass!
i have the same bike. and it stalled one day and won’t start but it is 1k miles past the check. do you think this would stop it from starting ?
Thank you for the video
Excellent video what miles are on your kawasaki
PLEASE READ COMMENTS !!!!!!
Excellent explanation mate , thank for the clear information, ride safe 👍🏼
those plates on the valve cover are smog pump block off plates.
Gee and I thought clearances got larger with wear not smaller.
9:21 ... camshaft, not crankshaft.
Great video, thank you
I weigh 65kg. Can you guide me to install compression and rebound of Ohlins 535 on MT-09 ? Please and thank you !
Thank you.
Hey man what are those plates on the head for?
They are PAIR system block off plates. PAIR is an ecological feature of the engine, it injects fresh air from the airbox to the exhaust
One important detail that was missed: The ratchet should be used to turn the flywheel COUNTER CLOCKWISE so that the engine rotates the proper direction and potential damage is avoided. If the timing mark can be seen, but needs to be turned clockwise a tiny amount to be aligned, from my experience this small amount of rotation won't cause any damage. (So for this bike imagine the engine rotating the same direction as the wheels when riding).
Thanks! I would have never known that!
You’re the man, thanks!
Terrible. Nightmare...
Anticlockwise
It would have been interesting if you replaced the shims and showed us how it’s done. Still, a very interesting and informative video. Thank you kind sir!
Well done. Thanks
