I have never heard this song before but I am so moved in my spirit I am crying on a Sabbath morning. This song is about every person who found Faith and endures to the end. Johnny Cash endured despite his human weakness and shortcomings. I believe he is walking streets of gold and I hope to see him someday.

My dad was a simple man who was a miner but his passion was singing and gardening. He broke gound in the spring with a shovel but as he did one of the songs he would sing was diamonds in the rough. Now I sing it when performing especially at the nursing homes.
