You know what, Sunday Sounds' Sunday Keys App already done it. And there's no issue at all. It also support 3rd party plugin. Also new ipad doesn't heat much at all (when I'm using sunday keys app along with 3rd party plugin). IT'S A POWERFUL APP! I mean, all your concerns have been addressed with these guys in sunday sounds and they've been successful since day 1. Do some research. I don't think apple can't do it. They even implement ipad version for Final Cut. So why?

I have a problem I can't figure out. I'm trying to make the sampler use only ONE of the zones from the different zones assigned to the same key on a Latin Percussion kit. I've tried everything I could to make it play only one of the zones but it keeps cycling through the different zones automatically and I can't figure out how to stop/modify this. It's the Stomps in the kit and I only like Stomp Copy 7 but every time I hit the key, it cycles to the different zones of the audio file. How can I modify this to only play Stomp Copy 7 zone? EDIT: Knowing this information will also help me know how to setup up the automatic cycling in case I also want to create a sampler instrument where one key triggers several different zones of an audio file.

Is there a way to have the keyboard play the same notes played by the drum pads but play just the instrument sound and bypass the sample? Because if not, why not just use the keyboard to trigger samples exclusively, since key inputs are needed regardless of it being routed to a drum pad or not?

What wireless access point are you using? The school I am the audio engineer for is using a tp-link wireless access point, but it seems like in larger stadiums with a larger audience, the wireless is far less reliable. Using the Ethernet output from our Behringer x32 to connect direct to the Access point. Thanks for your help!

Hi! I have a question regarding mainstage. My band is getting ready to do some shows and plan to use mainstage for the keyboard parts. We are really beginners when it comes to this… So please explain like we’re 3 years old ;) we started today to add patches for each song in the setlist. Now we wonder, for example if one song has organ and strings in the riff and we created layers with both organ and strings to play at the same time, but in the verse it should only be organ. Is it possible to assign let’s say a pad on the keyboard that will ”mute” the strings when pressing it to play the verse with just the organ sounding and then hit the pad again for unmute when the chorus come in? Or must we use 2 keyboards? We only planned on using a 37 keys keyboard so it’s not optimal to split it. if you have any easy and cool ideas please let us know! We’re a duo so the keyboard will be played by a hired musician, But we want to get the setup ready to save him the time… looking forward to hear from you…and remember we’re dummies kind regards jojje/Introspektivet

Maybe I am missing something obvious, but it's just not working. It appears that I am loading wav files successfully into the mapping window, and the yellow column is assigned to a key, but when I try to trigger it, I get no sound. I am using a malletstation, so maybe it doesn't work the same as a keyboard synth. But, if I switch to another patch like glockenspiel or marimba, it works fine. When I go back to this one, no sound. It does keep saying "metronome," at the top instead of "instrument." I keep thinking maybe that's the problem, but I don't know how to change that. Any suggestions?

Each time I watch vlogs like this I’m left even more in awe. As if it’s not hard enough putting on a high quality show, I hadn’t even thought of all the audio, mixing, scanning, frequency exclusions, FloMarching feeds and everything else that needs to be organised. Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to use the modulation lever on the Roland keyboards to activate the organ's rotary. mine works, however, I have to keep the lever pressed for the rotary (fast) to continue working. Grateful

I know this is a bit pedantic but it’s a thing for me Not your fault but it is better described as a damper pedal because it enriches the sound as well as sustaining the sound.

Thanks so much. Doing this for the first time. Using an expression pedal as volume for patches that don't use the keys to control volume intensity like other patches. Mainstage is really great. Last show, I did, RENT, I used it to trigger all of the sound cues, even in the middle of playing. Not used to using my feet so much, but I can't wait to get more versed in these concepts.

How do you get your audio out of your USB Audio interface and into the room? Can you plug a ¼ inch instrument patch cable from the audio interface’s output, right into the input of a clean guitar amp? (Or two guitar amps, if you want stereo?) I tried this and it sounded horrible and shrill. It sounds great going into my Presonus studio monitors. Should I just take a pair of powered monitors on the road with me? Or do you go straight from your USB audio interface into the house’s mixing board? How do YOU get your sound out of your computer and into the room? Thanks!

Mainstage came with Logic 9 so I opened it up and couldn’t figure out how to use it. It is like most Crapple products. You are on your own to figure it out. Never used it.

Do yourself a favor. If you run more than one keyboard, use logic. I know it’s not really intended for live situations but it works better than mainstage for me at least.

Really disappointed with mainstage. Spent 2 days trying to find my midi input tab so I could run 2 midi controllers and never did. Tried everything I could think of to get it to do what I needed it to do and never could. Finally went back to Logic Pro. I know it isn’t really intended for live situations but I can get what I need from it.
