BONING for WOOLLY MAMMOTH at the Boneyard Alaska raw footage
Join Gold Daughter, Ilaura, as she follows husband, Drew, around at The Boneyard Alaska for a casual afternoon of uncovering Ice Age fossils. Sit back and relax while he does all the work.
Raw footage shows an afternoon of boning in real time.
We call this area, "The Boneyard" because the density of bones scattered in one small area, half the size of a football field. The Boneyard Alaska is located on a patented gold mine and all bones we find are added to our private collection. In the past 15 years we have searched the area a size of half a football field and recovered over 250,000 fossil specimens dating back to the Pleistocene Epoch.
See more of the finds on IG @theboneyardalaska and more of our adventures prospecting for gold and Ice Age bones @Gold Daughters

*Our family owns this property and is not interested in selling any of the bones. This site is purely a product of our family's passion for finding Ice Age bones. For now we are collecting them. The bones have not only a monetary value but scientific value that could help with understanding the extinction event of the Ice Age megafauna.*

Battling the ELEMENTS prospecting for gold in Alaska!
Переглядів 9 тис.3 роки тому
In this video the Gold Daughters face EXTREME elements in hopes of finding gold. A little precipitation, some mosquitos, a pair of waterproof shoes with holes in them and a golden retriever named Nugget who tries to sabotage the whole operation. Spoiler alert, this is a wonderful lesson on getting skunked. If you're a prospector and you never get skunked, you're just not prospecting enough. May...
RARE COMPLETE SPECIMEN found at The Boneyard ALASKA... ICE AGE FOSSIL HUNTING
Переглядів 125 тис.3 роки тому
In this video, the Gold Daughters (Jordan and Ilaura) and their Gold Mother engage in a far too dangerous task in hopes of recovering an Ice Age Steppe Bison sacrum. The sacrum is in ice underneath a thawing overhang and is still attached to the lower three vertebrae. We have never found a specimen still attached like this in the past 15 years of exploration. We call this area, "The Boneyard" b...

On August 3, 2020 on our private patented mining claim in Fairbanks, Alaska a flood revealed an entire woolly mammoth skeleton including both woolly mammoth tusks, upper and lower jaw bones with the molars still in it, leg bones, toe bones, etc. Several other Ice Age animal remains were found on this day and are still coming out of the permafrost including steppe bison, caribou, horse, and many...
INCREDIBLE WOOLLY MAMMOTH TUSK found in ice at the Boneyard Alaska
Переглядів 138 тис.4 роки тому
At The Boneyard Alaska, recovering woolly mammoth tusks can be as easy as picking them up off of the gravels. Other times it takes more work, attention and risk. Then there are the times when things don't go as planned... In this video Drew from @theBoneyardAlaska and Ilaura from @GoldDaughters face the permafrost to recover Ice Age bones. Watch the documentary of recovering Blue Barbie, a comp...
Is there GOLD in DREDGE TAILINGS? Check out what we found in tailing piles at GOLD DREDGE #2 ALASKA
Переглядів 16 тис.4 роки тому
Were gold dredges from the gold rush era efficient? Gold dredges operated in the interior of Alaska between the 1920's-1950's and were deemed uneconomical to operate after 1961. We, Jordan and Ilaura aka the Gold Daughters, found something interesting in the archives of the Fairbanks Exploration Company (the company that operated the gold dredges) and decided we had to explore further. The maps...
Mining in Alaska? First, we prospect. Episode 1
Переглядів 15 тис.4 роки тому
In this video, Jordan and Ilaura venture north to pan samples from an area that was drift mined during the start of the gold rush in the early 1900s. There is still gold in them thar' piles, the old timers did NOT get it all. This is the first video in a prospecting series to answer the question: How much gold did they leave behind? Is there enough gold still around to be worth the time and inv...

You guys never consider using dogs to collect the bones or find big bones? You can probably train them to find and bring to you certain size of bones and maybe train them to point out small or bigger bones too. Maybe talk with a dog trainer with some experience to see if is possible? I seen a recent podcast episode on Joe Rogan with John your father and he said a Trooper has visited the place, maybe he knows a few certified dog trainers? If you had even half a dozen dogs working on the bank it could probably expedite things for you in terms of time and precision. Another solution would be a piece of mechanic engineer work to "eat" the permafrost (to be design), dispose of the gravel and collect the bones on a more automatic and industrial scale without letting a tooth behind. It all depend if you want to stay low tech or not. Thanks for you guys work! Only thing I can give you is a sub, a like and a few suggestion...

This is interesting. There are 2 main questions: (1) does this really work, the use of rods to find water or other items. And (2) if it does, how? Is it science or the supernatural? If science, how does it work for water AND gold AND other items that are completely unrelated? If the supernatural, what is the source? Ghosts, demons, the Holy Spirit, angels, or the subconscious mind interacting with the rods? I am truly curious. Is it like Ouija (voodoo), which is something I want to stay away from?
