    • @ameliaabroad9278
      @ameliaabroad9278 Рік тому

      Yes there are ones for lots of different ages! I did children (kindergarten/ elementary) so they were from 4-13. There are also elementary / middle schools which I think goes from 7-16 roughly. There are also adult teaching jobs but I don't know too much about them!

    If you sign through EPIK, are you assigned where to teach, or do you have any input with what city or even school you teach? In addition to that, are you assigned housing or do you have any input? If not, do you know of any programs which would allow you to specify to teach in Incheon, for example?

    Thank you so much for making this video! I’ve wanted to do this since I was in middle school over a decade ago, but only recently did I start getting into the specifics of how that’d be possible. I have a couple years left before I get my bachelors so maybe I’ll do that and get a TEFL as well during that time and hope things don’t change too much over the course of the next two years! What was the application process like for you by the way? Thanks for reading. I hope you have a lovely day!

      Thank you so much for watching! That’s a great idea, I did my TEFL in my final year of University so there’s no rush! The process was actually really quick and easy in terms of getting the job itself, it’s more that you have to take a lot of time when you’re picking which school is right for you (if you’re going down the Hagwon route). The visa stuff was a little bit more confusing and time consuming, but it’s very manageable and there’s lots of info online depending on which country you’re coming from! Wishing you all the best 💗

Would you possibly be willing to do a video or share some tips on how you searched for your Hagwons? I currently have a recruiter and I am very stuck! I am very similar to you and would like to be in a specific area of Seoul. I originally have decided to apply for Epik becauce of the "hagwon horror stories" but the more i hear the more i feel similar to you where i feel those people maybe werent ready to teach in Korea dn thats why. You seem to reccommed Hagwons pretty highly. I am aloso weary of Public schools because ive hear cthe stories of "Oh i have 4 diffeent schools I work at and have to travel to and i live in the middle of no where."
