@vinntage2583 That datacron definitely made life a lot easier, but most of the same matchups can be done, albeit with more expensive allies and/or some more risk. I expect he will be an apex predator in any datacron set.

The only thing keeping you alive is Barriss Unique. If you use Efflux, you shut that off and die in the next 2-3 turns.

@@tassenixgaming i see more room for them in 5s but all 3 tanks in 3s getting the out of turn reduction and assist calls (AB from mace) seem a winner. My opponent took a number of tries to get it down.

Fair enough, I didn't really get to use that Tech cron much in either 3v3 or 5v5 so it wouldn't surprise me if there were some cool punch-up uses I hadn't heard about. Thanks!

Making any substantive change risks alienating some players, but they can't just keep introducing new teams and keeping the board as it is forever either. I've found things to enjoy in any GAC meta but if they ever scrapped GAC altogether I don't think I'd be playing too much longer.

@@tassenixgaming 100% agree! GAC or let’s say the head to head combat is what I really want to do. All the theory crafting is done there (and the TW with the restriction of having to think about what everyone is capable of).

I think I'd be less inclined to quit than some of the others but I would definitely not play as competitively as I currently do just probably in a smaller guild just being more casual. GAC is one of the biggest motivators to keeping my account current for TW and TB because it mostly comes back to GAC crystals

Typically Magna, I have also heard of B1 being dropped and keeping Magna but I like that less.

@thegamer5343 In the modern team of GG/STAP, STAP took DDK's place so I wasn't planning on covering him. Still, short answer would be Offense set with CC or Health sets. DDKs true damage cannot crit but his physical damage can. Any amount of added Speed is ok, not super high priority though.

My concern there is that ranking teams into tier lists need to be updated every cron set, such a video would become dated really quickly.

@@tassenixgaming Yeah thats true, but ranking them without the impact of datacrons would be a very great Video probably one of the best swgoh Videos, because you are one of the smartest swgoh players and you have a great knowledge of the game.

First, I really do appreciate the kind words! :) As a GAC focused player in K1, datacrons will always be a factor for me so I'm having trouble seeing how I'd speak on which teams are best without them. What are you seeing that I am missing?

@@Mathias-yz9hh Great potency mark! You'll gain a lot of Offense if/when you take him to R7. Your Speed is serviceable, just clock your Grievous Speed based on that.

@@oapanas Turn order modding refers to their applied Speed mods, I prefer MQG to be faster because he actually needs the Speed more than QA, who gets bonus TM and bonus turns.

@@tassenixgaming was from the old Fatal vid on the droids. Basically idea of "what's the point of defensive mods if the enemy never takes a turn", but even there he said it'd be an offense only option. No exact number but more a thought experiment. Imo I like a healthy balance of potency/tenacity. But if going for a pure offensive squad, could maybe even try an offense/CD and potency due to his high base stats and STAP doubling his health letting the stray shot off being tankable

Oh yeah as an Offense-only option I have seen the Offense-modded B2, and yeah if you're not getting much reactive TM because you're lapping the enemy team, then some amount of added Speed would be nice!

I think you'll like it. JML needs little help in being durable, the issue is whether that team has any punch, especially in 3v3.

@@rustygardenchair6302 That sounds cool too! Historically, riposte has been an underestimated dark horse so I wouldn't be surprised that there may be some applications where you'd prefer it over the long text.

I think that based on Speed alone, the difference between something like 300 and 330-340 may not matter much over the course of a fight. However for TM teams in general, and for B1 in particular under GG lead, I must respectfully disagree. Take the case you mentioned testing B1 at +0 Speed and set at 300+. Assume we are in 5v5 and all enemies have Target Lock when B1 uses his special, this will generate 20% TM for him. If we calculate the effective Speed from a 20% TM gain based on B1's base Speed (165) vs mine (326) we see: 165/0.8=206.25 326/0.8=407.5 Nearly double the throughput at a 200 speed difference, and when we consider that a full TM bar is based on "accumulating" 1000 Speed, that's a full 20% difference in filling the bar! That stacks quickly in even a medium-length fight, especially considering that B1 gains 15% TM whenever another Droid ally uses a special, plus the other TM generators on the team. Those gains are further compounded by keeping a decently wide Speed gap between GG and B1 so that B1 can maintain a high stack of Droid Battalion.
