Trying out "AI" upscaling on analog DVRs, from 720p to 1080p. I did experiment with upscaling all the way to 4K but there isn't a huge difference. from 720p to 4K meant that there's a lot of "guessing" needed to be done by the "AI". The whole idea of mine is to look back at the quad. There have been tons of videos looking more or less in the direction of flight so that isn't something that worth experimenting. I'm sure placing it behind the quad will look good but it's a different concept and I don't NEED to place it behind the drone :)

Yea it's not bad at all. For just DVR footage, it can definitely give it a like kick. But it's in picture-in-picture as part of an HD footage, then there isn't much point to it.

The AIO is nicely protected in the frame. I've had some hard crashes and none of it has damaged anything other than the props and frame.

4s with 3,5" on 4600kv? Isn't that a bit much rpm (sad 2900kv on 4s/4" noises, supported by an even sadder 3800kv 4s/3")?
Not really. You can definitely go with 3800kv for ever so slightly better efficiency but 4600kv will give you a little bit extra thrust from mid to high throttle

Thumbpro is not much usable in low light. I've had some flights where I used auto settings and also enabled the low light setting, it was okay but then I don't like the auto exposure making the footage too dark or too bright at times. The cam needs a better auto exposure control in spot, average and center weighted - all modes. GoPros do it nicely. I use ND16 or ND8 (depending on bright sunny mid-day or sunny evening) with ISO200 and 1/60s @ 4k 30fps on Thumbpro and it gives decent footages, that you can enhance a bit more in the post.

Thanks! Honestly, just go for it. Their base tunes are really good and you can actually customise it according to your setup.

I'm aware that the ISO on the Runcam Thumb Pro is the lowest but raising it 3 stops to ISO 400 will still be unusably dark. Doing so means that you now have a higher noise floor to work with in post.
