#mosaic #ceramic #interiordesign I'm uploading all of my ceramic work to eos.ceramics on Instagram from now on. If you'd like to keep up with what I'm up to please give me a follow over there. There will be the odd video on UA-cam here and there. This is a vertical mosaic installation made of ceramic tiles. It measures 1300mm x 500mm (51" x 20"). It's glued to fibreglass mesh, cut into sections...

#art #mosaic #handmade I've been busy renovating our house for the last year, had some ups and downs and so I've not had much time for art, but I'm working on some more projects now and will hopefully be uploading a little more often in the future. Not sure if this is wall art or a table top, I haven't decided yet. What do you think would work best? Where would you place it in your home? It's a...

    How long do you wait before putting tape over the new painted area?

    • @eosvector

      I used a heat gun (lightly) on very low setting to speed up the drying process and then gave it around 10 -15 mins before applying tape. Hope that helps.

    Thanks a lot for sharing, for me just the right moment. I drew the grid today, your instructions were spot on. Tomorrow masking... I saw that you had a reference when you defined the main areas, is that completely thought through from the beginning or is it more like, deciding while doing..? Cheers mate!

    • @eosvector
      @eosvector Рік тому

      Hi, yes the design is entirely planned, I draw it in adobe illustrator and I work directly from the reference while transferring to the wall. I try to be as precise as possible. I measure the wall height and width and that becomes the document size in illustrator, then I draw the design and what you end up with can translate exactly to the wall and there are no surprises. I'd love to see what you create so link me when you're done! Thanks for commenting.

  • @gemasandoval688
    @gemasandoval688 2 роки тому

    When it comes to taping the diamonds, would you tape on top of the diamond's line or would you tape to the side of it?

    • @eosvector
      @eosvector 2 роки тому

      Hi, Early on, I would get as close to the edge of the line as possible just leaving the tiniest amount revealed. So you are painting over the previous line but just by like 1mm. Once you have a few painted diamonds you can start to use those as a reference for your tape (by taping on top of the painted lines). That will keep your lines consistent over the longer runs. It will never be perfect, but you can get pretty close once you start referencing the already painted lines. I hope that makes sense and thanks for commenting!
