Great work guys
That was pretty cool to watch. I appreciate everything you guys do out there, and God Bless 👊😎
He didn’t wrap the hydrant with the hose . Could have gotten seriously hurt if the truck went to fast and the hose snapped around on him - LT on the FD
No, that can’t happen as he folds the coupling back on itself so if the hose gets caught somewhere, it just takes off without hurting him. That’s how we teach hydrants. We feel wrapping is unnecessary.
@@kamloopsfirerescuetraining5089 fair enough I guess , I know in our dept if you fail to wrap it’s a fail . Thxs .
Flush the hydrant!
Why he did not flush the Hydrant? Nobody wants this brown Water Soup in the Tank.
We flow test all hydrants here every year and our water system is surprisingly clean...flushing has been determined unnecessary.
LOL
Overall very well done. Everyone has that kind of oops from time to time. :)

Awesome video

I’m curious about a couple of things. Not arm chair quarter backing just curious about your setup Why have the rescuers on the pick off straps when using the rigged prusiks gives you easier adjustability? Or does it? The tails of both lines could be secured to the foot of the basket. Or have you excluded that idea based on something? Good video with some ideas to compare to our setup. Thanks
The tails can be attached if you are worried about dragging on the ground. The reason for two is when packaging, both rescuers are independent and are not pulling each other back and forth. This is something that our department does a lot of and this just seems to work the best. The pickoff straps are for adjusting up and down and a a second point of contact which also keeps the basket front off the ground. Where we rescue is not always just a slope, there may be flat areas etc. The more adjustability we find the better. Makes for a bit more complicated system, but much of this is pre built and ready to go on our trucks. Thanks for the comment.
