John Wayne Stock & Supply - 2nd Amendment Collection
What does it mean to be a cowboy? It means making a choice- a choice to be up before the sun knowing that you’ll be working until the job is done. It means personal accountability, and having strength of character. That’s why out here its not about where you’re from, its about the values you stand for. We live by a code, of honor, responsibility and freedom. Out here, protection isn’t just a right, it’s a way of life, a constant reminder that freedom must be safeguarded. You don’t have to be born into this life to understand its worth. You just have to listen when you feel the pull. The pull to stand for what’s right, protect what’s your’s and pass on something enduring. In a world that’s always changing, there’s a place for those who choose to hold fast to the things that matter. Who live by the same values that men like John Wayne embodied. For anyone willing to carry on that legacy-you can find us in the west. And there is a place for you here.
Introducing the 2nd Amendment Collection from John Wayne Stock & Supply-a tribute to the principles that shaped our nation. Inspired by the Duke’s legacy of freedom, responsibility, and protection, this collection isn’t just about honoring the past; it’s about safeguarding the future. John Wayne stood tall for what he believed in, on and off-screen, living by a code that valued liberty and strength. Each piece in this collection-from rugged tees and trucker hats, to classic lighters and pocket size constitutions-embodies those values, reminding us that the power to protect our freedoms lies with us. Wear it with pride and carry forward the spirit of the Duke.

In THE COWBOYS Mr. Wayne stays his most arrogant macho-ego in front of the bad guys until they kill him pathetically so the young guys can entertainingly take revenge and grow up to be as stupidly macho as him. Such a hypocritical narrative highlighting false male values and rarely so blatantly shown.

in the mid 1970's, the WILD GOOSE, when visiting British Columbia water, would sometimes stop in at Alert Bay. My parents lived just up from the dock where she would moor. My young sister would sometimes fish off that dock. One day she was chatting with a gentleman on board. Mom could see down to the boat clearly and saw them conversing. Using pantomime, Mom was asked if was OK for my sister Anne to go aboard for tea or something, to which she approved. Mom recognized the gentleman, but Anne had no idea how well known her new friend was. Over the next few years, this became a ritual when the WILD GOOSE came into Alert Bay.

Best John Wayne movie he made and I think way better acting than True Grit. I saw it at a theatre with my parents in Wichita Falls, TX. I was probably age 10. I was devastated to see my hero killed and I literally hated Bruce Dern thereafter, which just proves what great acting took place in that film. Sean Beauvy was just the greatest in that river scene. All the kid actors were spectacular but that river scene is etched in my mind. I also think he got to cut the reins on Bruce Derns horse and I was cheering him on. Must have been quite the experience for all the child actors being a part of Americana.

When I was a young lad in the early 1970's I saw the Wild Goose at Stewart Island, British Columbia. I missed the chance to meet John Wayne when he visited the store at which I worked, but later saw him fishing for salmon from a local guide's small boat. (I was fishing in another boat; a lot of boats were in the same area as that's where the fish were running.)

Sis met him at 'Painters Lodge" as a guest . He'd be a lil' drunk by the time he arrived on his yacht, and often had crew , or lodge guides , to moor the boat, so always a responsible guy. Long trip to Campbell river BC , by boat, so I get it. :D

His boat used to tie up near the Empress Hotel in the Victoria, BC. harbor. It was tied up near the Coho ferry deck. This was in the early 1960s. I wished I would have taken a few pictures.

That was just excellent. I’m an LA native and grew up in the Hollywood Hills. We would go down to Newport on the weekend and occasionally my dad would rent a boat. I remember seeing John Wayne’s boat almost every time we went there. John fricken Wayne, the most famous actor you ever heard of. I had seen every one of his movies at least once. My grandfather got lung cancer and had one removed. He passed away seven months later, in 1965. When we heard John Wayne was going through the same thing it was devastating, but we all said he could beat it. JW was the toughest man alive, our hero. Thanks for the video, it brought back a special time that meant so much. I honestly think half the reason I joined the Air Force after the draft ended was because of John Wayne. A sense of duty.

I live in Port Hardy on the northern end of Vancouver Island, B.C. and I remember seeing the Wild Goose here a few times. People lined up on the seawalk saying, "oh, that's John Wayne's boat" and the fact that it was a converted minesweeper. It seemed like an entirely appropriate vessel for him to own.
