a relatively mediocre level lick to start off this new series. Performance notes: - keep control of the stick in measure 3, making sure that there is a contrast between accents and taps. - do not rush the accents in measure 4, and try not to come in early - watch out for slurring rythmns in measure 7, make sure the diddles still fall within each note of the 4:3 let - high stick heights in measu...

ill be adding more to this as i get better as a player; i will upload v2 after this upcoming marching season. ill also add that i would like to perform this eventually, because although in theory this is playable, im still not experienced enough for some of these passages.

cadets ballad 23 but for high-school marching band
u have improved so much amazing 👍👍👍👍👍👍
for ur grace notes keep them lower they should be like little taps and the other note should be an accent other than that pretty good 👍
Good job! What grade are you in?
This is really nice
Work on the difference between taps, upstrokes, full, and especially down strokes. Your downstrokes aren’t controlled and have some rebound. Use those fingers to control the stick!
I found the UA-cam channel😈😈😈it’s the kid that played snare next to u at 8th grade night on the 30th
sounds great with match grip, now learn to traditional. this is personally a challenging exercise for me to learn so good job.
is that the carolina crown 2017 opener i hear in the background?
the original piece where that opener came from, yes
Your right hand accent 1-2&3 (basically beat 3 of bar 2) Is much less rhythmically accurate than your left hand ones, practice that. I think it comes down to left hand tap speed.
Honestly this is really good. It sounds not fully ready but it also seems like you are doing everything right and just with practice it will sound great. Only thing, keep thumbs on sticks.
Only thing I would add to this is in the first part; around the first rep of flam fives, it sounds like you're dragging slightly, but you get back in time later on. What's probably happening is your diddles aren't low enough in the flam fives; try lowering them with the met at the same tempo and see if that helps. Decent rep though!
Relax your back fingers more. They really shouldn’t move very much at all, use more of the fleshy part of your thumb to drive and control the stick
Terrible? That was great
Wtf
Choke back on ur sticks a bit more
Cavies 11, love it
Work on level, and evenness with your hands (accent tap exercise) your in time pretty well. You just have to play IN TIME. I'm glad to see people working on things like cheesy poofs
this is 1 yr old, but thanks for the advice
Dreamybull would proud
😭
is your hand on the left side of the screen comfortable? if it doesn’t feel comfortable and balanced, you might want to adjust your approach to the drum: in matched grip, your elbows are usually going to bend so that your wrists float a couple inches above the drum, and your sticks angle down. it looks to me like the hand of the left side of the screen is lower than the right, with a stick angle flatter than the right. maybe that’ll help!
this is a little old, but thanks for the advice!
@@imdome9768 i didn’t even realize how old it was 😅 i just saw it and thought i might help. sorry about that!
Sick
intermediate my ass 💀 but some fire chops ngl
i just put the name as that because I wasn't sure but seriously, all you gotta learn for this is scv flammus, cheesy poofs, and legend of a two eyed soldier (the solo) and you have 75% of this
its very nice effort. but if you make it in slow speed then it will be more understandable and how to increase speed.
hi, this is just one of our excersizes uploaded so middleschoolers can learn if they want it. I don't necessarily know what you mean by this comment
@@imdome9768 Hello sir, I have started to learn, so I could not understand. I was wanting that you can make it slowly to get understandable. Thank you very much
sorry for the late reply@@mommagic8793. I will make a slower version that will progressively get faster for you
@@imdome9768 No problem for late ......but you replied its very important.......I will wait for that video
i need to work on my doubles 😭
Use more arm! It looks like the majority of your motion is coming from your hands, which is making you look/sound stiff. Incorporate more arm into your stroke and your singles/diddles will be smoother!
okay thank you
That’s why
Baggy T-shirt
turn on closed captions for brainrot
Good writing bud! Just a tip to make your future stuff a little easier to read - the rhythm you wrote for beats 3 and 4 in the first bar is the same as all the other ninelets. So if you want to make it easier for players to understand they’re equal, make sure to write them all the same way 😄
yeah it's funny 😭 I'm growing exponentially for writing so I see that now! thank you though
I waunt et 🙏🥲 I wauna learn ittttt lmao
In english please 😂
Is that a flub
no
Is no one going to talk about the spock, snare, tenor tagged together by 2x4s 😅
SHHHHHHH our tech was from cavies 2011 so it's no wonder why he's into whacky ideas- its like a diy project for him 😭
if you can't play it slow you can't play it fast. practice on a pillow to build the chops. keep up the work.
this is old and thank you i have matured enough as a player to realize this.
I feel like the triplets in measure seven should be L r l so you can start the right hand on the next measure more naturally. Interesting piece though
look at pinned comment
Oh ok I didn’t see it
This is perfect, thank you
First
how do you right in diddles in musescore 4?
I'm using muse 3
Going to use this to learn the snare warm ups
I can dm you all the things that could help you. just give me an @ or a social

muahaha extra points if u make it a ping
Do your homework
the triplet is supposed to be Lrl not Lrr. sorry for the confusion
0:37 sounds like the ditty lowkey
ditty infects all there is no hiding
NOOOOOO
That shit actually slaps, but I’ll be damned if that’s intermediate
i just put the name as that because I wasn't sure 😭 but seriously, all you gotta learn for this is scv flammus, cheesy poofs, and legend of a two eyed soldier (the solo) and you have 75% of this 😪
@@imdome9768 you know honestly that’s a valid point, I guess it’s just a matter of being willing to lol
Try to stay in tempo byw
I've gotten better but thank you 🙏
Not bad🎉🎉😂
you sent me this on insta! I’ll start working on it today when i get home 😊
