    I've seen a few clever design integrations of charging ports on mice. This is not a design choice but a refusal. And the form? I understand "form follows function" is a cliche, but if it's something literally designed to be pushed around by my hand through a workday and gives zero care to how it feels in my hand, the cliche is reinforced. Only apple can sell this thing. Anyone else it'd be dismissed and forgotten.

    I appreciate your review, i actually still rock this keyboard till this day, been using it for close to 7 years , had 0 issues with it, i remember when i first bought it, it just felt super fast and snappy for gaming due to the silver speed switches , and the built quality was amazing, it really is built like a tank. This keyboard actually made me respect Corsair as a brand, so yeah big props to them i am looking to buy a new hall effect keyboard , might place an order on the new Wooting, just because i wanna try the new tech like rapid trigger and all the other goodies . But the K70 will always hold a special place.

    The Magic Mouse IS NO MOUSE, IT IS A COMBINATION OF MOUSE AND TRACKPAD. You cannot compare a Logitech mouse which is a SPECIALIZED PRODUCT with a magic mouse that isn't. Don't compare apples and oranges....

    All the whining about the charging port location makes me doubt the future of humanity. You are at work 24/7? Can’t you regulate and discipline yourself to charge it overnight when you get a low battery notice? Anyone mentioning this charging port location as an issue is not only a threat to himself but also one to society. Lacking the least standards of reason and responsibility.

    How do I stop the zooming everytime I move my. finger up/down on the mouse? Even when I release the mouse on some sites it zooms in or out... Frustrating!

    • @RealGiTexan
      @RealGiTexan Місяць тому

      I just had the idea to ask ChatGPT about this and this is what I got back: The Apple Magic Mouse II can sometimes zoom in or out unexpectedly due to specific gestures. Here are some common causes: Two-Finger Swipe: A two-finger swipe gesture can trigger zooming if "Smart Zoom" or other zoom options are enabled in the settings. Pinch Gesture: If the pinch-to-zoom gesture is enabled, accidental movements can lead to unintentional zooming. Tap with Two Fingers: If "Smart Zoom" is turned on, a double-tap with two fingers might zoom in or out on content. Scroll with Modifier Key: Zooming can occur if you're scrolling with the mouse while holding down the Control key (or other modifier keys), depending on your accessibility settings. To prevent uncommanded zooming, you can adjust your settings: Disable Smart Zoom: Go to System Preferences > Mouse and uncheck "Smart Zoom." Disable Zoom in Accessibility: Navigate to System Preferences > Accessibility > Zoom and ensure that zoom options like "Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom" are turned off. This should help prevent unexpected zoom behavior.

    I use this mouse for world of Warcraft, I play a druid class and do a lot of PvP and have 30+ macros all bound to the side 12 keys which is broken up between shift and alt. This was a replacement of my aging razor naga epic and it's been amazing.

    They need to update the mouse though: - It has a polling rate of 90Hz, so on Macbook Pros and external high refresh rate screen, the mouse will feel laggy - the mouse has very high resistance at its bottom - hard to glide around - lightning port on the bottom… from 6 sides to choose from, they picked one of the worst ones! - the mouse is kinda too flat. Not ergonomic at all! If they fix these, it wound be a good mouse!

    I think this is a really beautiful machine. It feels great to type on and the screen and speakers are fantastic. I thought I would hate the touch bar but like you I also found that a lot of apps integrate it well and find clever uses for it. Its location directly above your keyboard is really ergonomic. And if you have an iPhone, the integration with your MacBook is really great. The specs are powerful enough for my needs (programming, typical office work, some music software and the occasional Photoshop edit), but I can imagine that HD/4K video editing might be a bit of a stretch on most models. The Intel processor also runs quite hot, and I fully expect my machine's performance to tank due to thermal throttling if I'm working outside during the hotter months of the year. But I guess that that's the price to pay for the nice slim form factor. The Apple Silicon ARM chips are definitely better in this regard (better performance and way cooler), but a large benefit of the older Intel chips is that I can still dual boot Linux on my machine. I accept that to most people this doesn't matter but for me it's a big plus. And since the older Intel-Macs are still being supported for the foreseeable future (they'll even get the new MacOS 15 Sequoia and at least 2 years of security updates after "official" software support has seized), I think it's a really great deal at its price point.
