Thank you for your comment! I stayed at the Simabo’s backpackers’ hostel in Mindelo and I loved it! It’s not only a hostel but they also have a shelter in which they take care of stray dogs, it’s amazing what they do.

Thanks for your comment! I went to Tarrafal in a taxi. You can drive there from Porto Novo yes. The roads are ok except for the very last part which is a dirt road. Rent a 4x4 or at least a SUV. Bumpy roads.

Hi, thanks for your question! It really depends on you. Cape Verde is made of 10 main islands so you can easily spend one month and a half exploring all of them :). If you want to target only a few islands it then again depends on which ones. You can see all of Sal in 2 days but you’ll need one full week for all the iconic hikes of Santo Antao for example. @@prileteli4 You walk for aprxm half an hour ... or take the boat . Then still 20-30 min nice walk up... you get really close. It is a beautiful trip :). We live just 2 hours from there, and went twice last year.
