Watched the movie trailer for the new movie that dropped today. Might have gotten excited. 😆 Hearing the little guitar solo tease of the old theme inspired me to learn it today and just add a little of my own dynamic to it. 😆 I look forward to the movie now! But, I still hate the trunks 😆

My Papaw Dennis, my aunt, my uncles, and my MOM all knew how to play the rhythm guitar to this song, so my rebellious streak made REFUSE to learn it... Some years ago, I heard Amazing Grace could be sang to it. There's a video of me singing it that way with some friends and I dedicated it to my aunt just before she passed away. Ever since then, I have loved the melody so I finally learned to pl...

That sounded awesome! Beautiful guitar as well. Keep it up.
THANK YOU!!! I appreciate you checking it out!
Really enjoy your videos. I have the same American flag Leo Jaymz SG and noticed the same thing on pickups. I wonder if shielding the cavities with copper tape would help? Im thinking about trying it. Ive got the strat, tele, and SG. I want to get the Les Paul version with the flag to complete the collection. Those finishes are absolutely beautiful even if it is a decal. Temu has the strat and teles on their website in the $112-116.00 range. I know many do not like that website but I have had pretty good luck with them. Keep on rockin cause I'll keep watchin! Steve in North Carolina.
@slewis7948 thanks a lot for watching and the encouragement! My first Leo Jaymz was the flag LP, which you probably know. Get it! I'm eventually going to get a second one, because I can't make myself mod the first one! Lol. I don't know about the shielding... my understanding is that the pickups aren't wax potted, or not done well. Since the neck doesn't seem as microphonic, part of me wonders if this has one of the older pickups in the bridge, and an updated one in the neck? I bought some Fleor pickups for the LP way back, but couldn't bring myself to change them, so they are still in the package... but I've ALSO got a couple of Seymour Duncan pickups from a cheap pawnshop Schecter that someone just ruined the body and neck... seriously thinking about trying those in this or the strat! I've already modified the strat, so I don't mind trying it first! Lol. Good to know they are available on Temu! I thought they discontinued them! I tried installing it once for something, but my phone wouldn't do it, so I took it as a "sign" and never tried again. Lol.
I have their LP style. Plays wonderful
@adventureswithtattoorick8010 I have 3 of their LPs! 😆 Love them all. I actually only need the Tele USA Flag guitar, and I'll have a complete collection of the American Flag Leo Jaymz guitars. It's unavailable right now, so I hope they don't discontinue them like they did the strat! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@adventureswithtattoorick8010 you should watch the whole review. I play with some clean tones there, and it's honestly where THIS guitar shines!
Love it bro.
@Myles.World.01 thanks!!!
@Myles.World.01 do you know the notes on your fretboard, or are you strictly tab? I tend to find tab, preferably official, and rewrite it as the notes (not official "notation" but A#, G, C, etc) then find my own placement or arrangement of where to play it on the neck. Do I like it on thicker strings, or thin? Do I want to slide to and from the note, or hammer on or pull off? It makes it interesting, and ingrains in me where the same notes are on different strings... just a great practice exercise for learning the notes. 😆 Anyway, I can share the link to where I found the initial tab and instructions on how to play it, if you like? I actually might do that anyway, and put it in the description. I play it in way different positions than he does, but it's still a great video and starting point!
The link is in the description now! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it! Check out some of his other videos too!
@@eclipsetheraindanbutler2478 Thank you for the info and the link!!! as for me, i just kind of play by ear, as I am not great at chords or learning the fret board, as you have done. It is a slow and grueling process that way, I know, but it is all I have known. I like the way you do it, I will have to work more on learning the fret board for the notes. Thanks again, sensei :)
@Myles.World.01 😆 I only took one month of lessons, when I bought my first guitar at 18. A Peavey Patriot! I'm a singer who fell in love with playing guitar. You can change a guitar string, but you can't change vocal cords. Lol. Anyway, I learned the basics of the notes in that month and just slowly went from there on my own. I used, and still do use tab a lot for quick learning, but even the official tabs can be wrong, especially on placement of playing (if not the not). Remember, most are transcribed by students trying to make extra money. Even Steve Via use to notate Zappa's music for him. 😆 Ear training is important too. Doing BOTH... that's the best. Maybe I'll do some short videos on basics in the future... been thinking about it already, because my youngest brother is wanting me to teach him now.
Awesome!!! Now if only I could play that on my flag sg.....
Got a tobacco burst recently, ebony fret board, never know what your going to get but I think I did good on this one. $185 no issues.
@tenacioust261 I haven't had any issues yet with the Leo Jaymz guitars except for cheaper pickups, but that's to be expected, and really don't matter if you aren't playing at gig level volume at home.
Budget guitars nowadays are upping their game. Most of those Alnico5 pups are actually pretty good. Feasly FST1000 sounds and feels superb. Plus the Wilkinson pups, and Groover machine heads are a big plus.
@@LuisRodriguez-cf4tf I love the stainless steel frets, especially when they are properly polished. 😆
Just got this guitar for xmas haha Whats the 4th knob for? I know the bridge, neck pickup and master volume but dont know about the last one.

Out of tune and cheap strings? Shocker. Why do reviewers bring up a guitar being out of tune? They should be slack for shipping.
Um, if I mentioned it being out of tune, I was just clowning. So are most reviewers. But if the wood is good, as well as the truss rod, it shouldn't need to be slack. I agree though, unless you bought it with a spec or setup guarantee, don't expect it to be tuned. They CAN be intonated though. I still have and play this guitar btw. Also, I dig your ID or screen name. I love Star Trek! Merry Christmas Captain!
@@eclipsetheraindanbutler2478 Same to you brother!
Looking at getting a Fojill Explorer/Destroyer copy. Glad they make a good guitar.
@captainkirk70 there's a red one that they have that I've considered, but I've really got my eyes on getting a PRS SE CE Ashwood special next. I've really enjoyed reviews of it, and it sounds so different. Glad you got something out of the video! Thanks for commenting!

I love these guitars yet I haven’t purchased, they are very heavy and I don’t get along with heavy guitars. I regret it now the particular model you have is the best looking.
@bluwng I have muscle issues, so I usually stay away from heavier guitars myself, but I absolutely LOVE the look and sound of this! I plan to collect more Slick guitars now! Probably the SSS strat first, and with the same color and paint
Nice Guitar ! I remember seeing those a while back . A good looking bare bones shredder . I like the character the finish gives with the coarse grain of the wood .
@richarddennis5676 me too! I might have text you a picture years ago saying it was gonna be my NEXT guitar! 😆 🤣 😂 I loved the look, and wanted it bad... but I think that was right after I had already bought a handful of budget guitars... 😆

what's the difference in deluxe and standard
@BigBishop1 honestly, I don't think that there really is anymore, if ever. The flag guitar is the only one that I have that says deluxe. It had DeAddario strings and Grover marked tuning pegs. Unfortunately, I learned what microphonic pickups were with it. The frets DEFINITELY weren't stainless because they had some grit that I just played away..... couldn't do that with stainless. Sean at Scar My Guitar got a more recent one, and was certain it WAS stainless because of how hard it was to tweak the frets. Good question. I honestly think most brands just use it for marketing with very minor differences. I have a PRS SE marked Limited Custom and I honestly think it might be a cheaper finish than a standard because the binding isn't actually binding, it's just where they stained the wood instead. My Paul's signature SE is fuax bound the same way.
Get it !

@bdogjr7779 thank you so very much ♥️🙏😊
Awesome Dan🎸《☆》I guess I'm an Amazon guitar addict😁I have 2 of this model Donners as well. The 2nd one I got suckered in by the price drop $110. The 1st one's Intonation couldn't be adjusted with the strings that it came with. Ernie Ball .010 to .052 strings brought it in perfectly. It's my favorite drop D guitar. The soft Copper/Nickel Frets are getting some serious divits in them but it's a great sounding guitar at any price✌🏼😎☯️
@bdogjr7779 I guess I've lucked out, or it's because I have so many that I rotate playing with that I haven't worn any frets out. Honestly though, once that happens, I'll probably have stainless steel frets installed. I love those.

Funny thing: There is a law against burning an American flag, but there is also a law that says that the only acceptable way to dispose of a worn out American flag is to burn it! * I just posted on another video of yours that I just got a used Leo Jaymz guitar with a British flag. It just looks so awesome, regardless of anything else. But I bet that certain trolls would say some crap to me too, even though I'm an American veteran. You are definitely right that some people look for things to be offended by. There are always people like that. Be we can be glad that we're not like that!
Amen! Thank you for your service!
Just got one from a local trusted music store. This one has the British flag. It looked so good sitting on the wall that I was temped to buy it without even playing it. I'm basically a perpetual novice, but after 20 seconds of playing the guitar, I had to have it. I HAD to. This one had the humbuckers replaced with side by side single coil pickups (neck and bridge). Plays really nice, and the sustain is super. Pickups really seem to put out a lot of volume, but the guitar is not noisy at all. I love the tone- it can be quite bright, but I just roll of the high frequencies on my multiFX pedal. This thing plays SO nice. Whoever had it before me set it up really well. I LOVE this guitar!
AWESOME! Don't know if you already saw it but I pulled out my LJ Flag guitar and posted a video of me jamming Turn the Page on it, accompanied by my Beat Buddy pedal! I haven't changed a THING on it, even though I bought some pickups intending to.
very nice bro
Thank you!!!!
I really like your style, your delivery, and most importantly. I'm a 69 year old "beginning," player who's had ENOUGH of these arrogant little "guitar divas" with their noses in the air. I'm going to subscribe to YOUR channel, because you're just a guy, like me. Looking forward to more from you. Thanks, Bruh!
THANKS A LOT!!! I just love playing, but I'm a singer turned guitar player, so I'm not as skilled as others my age (51 as of last May 18th). Lol. I'll never be a shredder, but I guess I'm keeping my teenage dream alive by continuing to purchase guitars and learn little by little. Lol. When I'm depressed, or in pain from old age 😆 and can't sleep, playing a guitar makes it all better (while waiting on the ibuprofen to work 😎). Budget guitars have allowed me to also sit in a room and get perspective... because I can look around and feel like I'm inside a guitar shop trying to figure out which one to show some love. 😆. I'm really glad that you enjoy the non-diva attitude that I have. That's AWESOME! I look forward to reading more comments from ya! Thanks for subscribing!

Now get some guitar vids up cuz!!! 😆
Why buy Eart when you can buy a Censtar for half that price.
Good question, and my answer is that EART was around first and when I personally bought one Censtar didn't exist yet. I also don't know if all Censtar guitars are stainless steel frets. That was my reason for first purchasing one, and it was my first experience with stainless steel frets. The quality in my experience was GREAT. I was hooked on stainless since. Having tried a few others, and discovering that not ALL companies providing such good and polished frets. My EART actually felt better out of the box than my first stainless steel fretted Firefly. Back to Censtar: I honestly forgot about them. I need to find one that I like the look of and try it. I think there was a relic strat I almost got once. I don't know though... might be a little bit 😆 because I just got another PRS SE, but you definitely put Censtar back on my radar!
I got one of those on sale in Amazon deals for 75 bucks, when I changed the strings the nut was broken. So I replaced the nut with a bone nut and now it is perfect
Awesome! Sucks it broke, but cheap fix!
