Amazing trick. Thank you so much!
Great video. Also, you have Ross (Friends) voice!
What if you've got blinds down with slats showing?
Can you do this in lightroom desktop as opposed to classic?
This video I was waiting for almost 3 years. Thank you so much!!!!
Love it. Great job, keep up the good work.
Hey my brush tool isn't working, I'm using Lightroom Classic the latest version ?
You saved me a lot of time from photoshop! Thanks
Great video - THANKS! Please help me with something here... HOW DID YOU ZOOM IN on the window at about 6:18 in this video while you had Brush selected??? I have used LR Classic for quite some time and did not know you could do that while using any kind of tool (and yes, I feel dumb not knowing this).
Hold down space bar and it’ll let you zoom and drag the photo and as soon as you let go of the space bar it returns to the brush
thanks!
Bruh! Edit GOD
What is your metering set to?
Hi. I use lightroom and have presets. When should I use WB to speed up work flow. If you use WB in the beginning then it changes the colour but then if you use a preset afterwards it will change the image.
Amazing!
new content soon I hope. 😞
Hi, I don’t understand how do you combine pictures
Amazing. I was just wondering that there has to be a way to batch all this.
can you please do a updated version of this specially with the updates for some reason when I export it it looks amazing but once I post in mls it get bad
MLS compresses photos to reduce file sizes. You can find out the limits of your local MLS and then match them. This might help with quality if you can be the one to reduce file size instead of the MLS doing it.
What increases the file size the amount of editing you do to a photo ? And my size meets the mls requirement but it still comes out grainy in both mls and on Zillow I don’t know why when I upload them on Dropbox they look amazing on phone and even on computer the problem comes when it’s uploaded to both Zillow and mls
Great video! Thank you!!!
cool
Great video, thanks for sharing!! Question, what's your suggestion on the windows when there are open blinds involved?
Which version of the lightroom is this?
When I do this it adds the merged photo to the stack, which makes sorting by added order do nothing. Is there a way to change that?
Hey there, did you ever figure out how to fix that? I'm having the exact same issue and I have not found a single video that explains how to fix it. Thanks!
Am I missing the step where you take your three original bracket images and then suddenly it's a combined HDR image?
Same question. He skipped that step
Select the 3 or 5 bracketed photos then go to “photo” at the top then click photo merge and then select hdr
Hi John, thanks for such a great explanation! Do you have a full course?
Glad you liked it, unfortunately at this time the course is closed to new students.
Best vide on youtube. this teaches you that you dont need thousand dollar gear to have some good decent quality photos
Thank you, great tip!! 😍
Man you saved me some long time! Thanks
Click and then shift + click with eraser is possibly the most important hack I've ever learned for easy window pulls. Appreciate it bro!
My Sony NEX7 auto combines its HDR function shots to produce the merged image as a seperate photograph stored on the SD card. So the Lightroom HDR merge function is not always needed.
That sounds like it could be really convenient
what does the auto mask do when you use the brush tho?
so amazing
what does dehaze do?
Try out the dehaze and contrast sliders and see how they compare. Push them high on different scenes to get an idea of how they affect the image.
Using HDR, how do you deal with muntins, vertical or horizontal blinds, or large plants in front of the window? I think flambient would be a better (and faster) solution than painting each object in Lightroom. Also, how do you handle moving tree branches in an exterior HDR shot? Perhaps a better way would be to take a single shot, create two virtual copies, increase one of them by a stop and decrease the other by the same amount and THEN create the HDR image. The main disadvantage to HDR in my opinion is colour rendition, especially when dealing with mixed colour temperature lighting.
Get good with zooming in and moving the image around while you have the brush open. Space bar, ctrl + mouse wheel spin, and A for automask. HDR outside with wind, fast shutter speed and minimize ghosting option in the merge HDR settings help. I often just shoot single exposures outside. HDR I really just want for windows.
How did you get there
where?
@@JFPhotos1 you started the video but didn’t show step by step on how to get to the part were you edit
@@JustGods.Podgirlfrom the Develop tab, just press K to bring up an adjustment brush.

Awesome video! Can you please do a video on camera angles of how to show off rooms the best? :)
Thanks, I'll try to get to that.
HI there! Can Lightroom be used only to achieve this? I dont want to have to buy PS and lightroom together if I can avoid it. lol. Thanks!
Yes, you don't need PS. I think they might come together on one of the Adobe plans though.
@@JFPhotos1 thank you!
Thanks for this, great pace and crystal clear instructions. Question, did you just take one single shot, underexposed? No AEB? Cheers!
Thanks. AEB merged in Lightroom.
cheers@@JFPhotos1 I like this method a lot, until today - blinds...total nightmare. Need a better way now, you know of one?
@@wolfiemedia not sure if I mentioned it in this video but zooming in close and using auto masking helps.
@@JFPhotos1thanks. I did give that a try, but some of the lines were too thin and on an angle, so it created jagged/stepped lines. I really don’t want to go that flash route. Although the darken method is the easiest and most and accurate. I appreciate the support 👍🏻
Nice
Thanks
very good explanation ... John ....I love it ...
Thank you
I could not access the brush using the "k" shortcut, it only showed me a search box of keywords. could you explain more detailed the first steps until that part? maybe I'm missing something. very beginner here.
