Happy Friday. I like everything that you put on here and I mean that. Thank you?
@@davidfinney-gm3ij thank you very much I really appreciate it 😀
I remember going chatters as we called it on a weekend in the late 90s when i was a teen and we use explore the colliery and some weekends we got chased out by the security guards
There is a video of the steam engine shown at 25.25 on Chatterley Whitfield youtube channel it looks brand new .Hesketh Winder with Sound its called
it cannot be allowed to fall apart.
I’ve not seen inside for years now but I’ll bet it’s in a lot worse state than it was back then now
@@exploringwithnightcaller oh yeah i imagine its not in a good state but its an incredible part of our history and i hold out hope.
@@thistleborne6207 the problem we seem to have is a lot of the amazing buildings we have in this county seem to be sold off the people who simple do not care about the property
That place is trashed Man
Yes not sure it’s even there anymore
@@darksoulsparanormal It is but it is a disued pub
@@davidfinney-gm3ij it’s a hospital
Piles of Opus Audio sat right there. Yumma,Yumma, Yumma !
@@Alden-zq1nu and it all probably ended up in the skip outside a few months later 😢
Used to come swimming here as a child many years ago absolutely loved this place so sad seeing it in the state and some or the rooms i never entered! Im glad the council will be doing something with it id love to see it up and running again
@@briannatizianamarigliano1812 the place has definitely seen better days but it is a nice building and it should be saved the problem with the uk is buildings are left till it’s too late if there listed and then get knocked down or suddenly burn down it such a shame
Should be preserved. Went down the mine when it was a museum think it was about 700ft in those small cages shown at the start. At the very least those wonderful winding engines and cable drum should be saved.
@@jdavis460 I agree must be something planned for it at some point as they got an injunction out on me for this video saying I could not return in the future but only time will tell I suppose
@@exploringwithnightcallerwas the shaft open?
@@jdavis460 no sealed I’m afraid
Thanks for this man, worked here for 10 years and had some great times. Brings back great memories.
It needs preserving for the future so that children feel and touch
Directons from town please on t bus ooo ta
The first video of yours and many that i have watched, im really intrigued and into this now! brilliant thanks mate more for me and the other half to watch on the weekend :-) Take care of yourself!
Thank you for popping in I really appreciate it glad you like the videos I don’t get out much anymore due to my health as things took a turn for the worse for me and I ended up having a heart attack but I do hope to get back to it as soon as I can
@@exploringwithnightcaller sorry to hear that mate. Take as long as you need. There's no rush. Put yourself first! 😊
@@DynamicDuoUK thank you i will do
This is the dodge hill bunker mate
Thanks for the information
This has to be a listed building surely???? Are they developing it into flats????? I was treated in the hospital twice in the 80's, once when I was on P company back in 1985 when I went through a car wind screen when my mate lost control of the car and we hit a tree on the way to Gibraltar barracks to do our washing. Then again when I got knocked out in a bar fight in the legendary "Rat Pit" when some 2 Para lads decided to kick off. I was rescued and put in a cab to the military hospital by no other than the legendary "Kev Waterhouse" from the Pathfinders who unfortunately is no longer with us. RIP Kev, he was a top bloke
It’s been redeveloped for housing
que música é essa 10:01
Wonder if the shafts have been capped.
Yes I do believe it has been
The Hesketh isn’t capped still open and full of water
45.46 was the main way in also wh smith was the shop
I would be all over that Soundsystem at least showing it a little bit more. I can’t believe it’s still there. Some Martin audio stuff. Dannmmmmm. WTF??? what is happening here.
It's an Opus Audio system
I remember these old wards as a child visiting my grandad
Thank you for posting very interesting indeed . Stay safe 👍🏻
Your most welcome
Had my life saved twice in that hospital .
Good memories and bad memories this hospital
I saw my mum in chapel rest

Thank you appreciate it
@@exploringwithnightcaller ur welcome I have subsribed to ur channel and look forward to other vids guys
My mum died in the infirmary in 1996
Sorry for your loss
@@exploringwithnightcaller thank u hun but it was nice to go back in time looking round the old infirmary shame it’s all been knocked down now part of history gone
I had my appendix removed on the old north staffs infirmary
Shame to see the place falling to bits. After it closed as a colliery in 1976, it was a great mining museum. I went on one of the tours down the 700ft pit when I was a kid, down in one of the cages with the brickwork rushing by and our ears popping, wearing a helmet with a light and carrying a self-rescuer. Amazing to think you could do that. One of the older mine shafts there was 2000ft deep.
When the old Stafford District General was under partial closure in 1984, my grandad was in there recovering from a serious operation. One evening we went to visit him, and my best mate tagged along. While my mum and gran were in the ward, me and my mate decided to explore. We went up to the next floor - it was in almost total darkness. We went part way along the corridor before deciding that it was a bit too creepy. 😂
i did this one night alone in total darkness so i did not get busted by the security and i couldn't agree more its a creepy place
I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy watching your videos on your channel. They are beneficial and informative. However, I noticed that you haven't been updating your videos as frequently as before, and your video SEO score seems to be low. If you're interested, I would happily offer some tips and suggestions to help improve your video SEO score. Let me know if you're available to chat about this at a convenient time.
Thank you very much I appreciate it very much but there’s a reason I’m not uploading right now and it’s because I had a heart attack and I am in recovery at the moment but I’ll be back soon better than ever I promise you that
@@exploringwithnightcaller I am very glad that you are on the mend
North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary was a very good hospital. I know the place was old but it was a shame they knocked it down, it had so much history and some great architecture inside and out. Im sure it was haunted aswell by former staff and patients, so sad to see it gone. I wish i could have had one last walk around that place before they knocked it down. I had some nice and very sad memories about that hospital, i will never forget it :(
Yes I totally agree and as for haunted I can tell you walking round that place in the dark to avoid getting busted by security was a very unnerving experience
First
Republic? I used to here quite a lot between 98-2000. Last time being an old friends stag do in mid 2000. I preferred niche and insomniacz, but gatecrasher was still banging. Shame to see it like this. I remember reading it had been burned to the ground, but obviously not.

wow so no one took any of them Gatecrasher signs or disco balls that place was a goldmine for memorabilia i know someone with there own bar who loves all stuff like that what a waste
It all ended up in the skip round the back I’m sorry to say
Great video mate. It's really sad to see how it has been left to rot. I hope someday the funds become available to restore the colliery or at least part of it for people to view and learn more about our history.
Thank you I’d love to go back but I have an injunction on me to stop me going on the site so it would make it criminal
It’s Accrington Lancashire it’s under hydburn or Blackburn council
Hyndburn. I am from Accrington
Kingdom on a sunday night....seeing how far blokes would let the bog roll burn up to there arse for a prize 😂 and birds gettin their tits out for a drink and stuff, omg fantastic! Embrace with the best sound system in Yorkshire after....some fuckin fantastic nights on the old jack and jills, vodka redbulls and fanny throwing itself at ya if you were on the ball.......unforgetable, beautiful.

Coming from a mining and quarrying family and having spent 45 years in transport and engineering I would advise anyone to be extremely careful in and nesr these redundant industrial sites. There are many hidden dangers. I followed in the footsteps of most of my relatives in South Wales , North staffordshire and Lancashire and Yorkshire in what are commonly seen as hazardous industries and occupations. I was lucky. I made it to retirement. Others were not so lucky!
My dad worked there. We lived just down the road in Cumberbatch Avenue.
Same I live on the top
Waste taxpayers money to build it and then don’t us it. Why not give some use?
Could not agree more
Enjoyed this video but must be tricky with the cameras though 👍👍💯
