Problem Jatco bmw e39 1999 delay :/
Does this work with Nissan Rogue?
I'm not certain what method the Rogure uses.
Is it just me or is the audio very poor on this?
Good job nunb nuts is the bolt reverse thread or what? Terrible video
Haha. I’m not in it for the money. you get what you pay for 😂
Should have changed those bearings while you were in there. They should make no sound whatsoever
Lexus no longer sells the valve or bearing. Aftermarket is a no go unless absoilutely necessary. Thanks.
@@simple8818 There are TWO bearings in there and you can buy them anywhere. I just did mine a few days ago. You didn't even do half the job son.
@@RobertSmith-js2kz Can you provide the link to the bearings? I didn't see them on Lexus site!
The green grommet cracked apart and left the brake lights on in my brother’s car too. We just cut a magnet in the same shape and taped it in place. Fixed it.
THANKS! Helped me a lot. My brake lights were staying on even when car was off...had to pull the fuse to shut them off. I found that my switch was actually good...the green plastic spacer was cracked and fell apart. So I made one out of a plastic bottle cap by cutting it down and then heated it up with a lighter to mold a nipple in center so it would seat into hole on brake pedal arm, and filled in the recessed other side with melted plastic...and put some super glue on it, and on the retaining nut as well since It would have been very difficult to get a wrench in there. Works great now.
...alsoI didn't have to remove any panel...just pulled the connector off and then was able to unscrew the switch. Hope this helps someone.
Glad you found the workaround.
Hoping this fixes my stalling issue on my 95 LS400 gonna order a new gasket for it then clean it good
Drove it around town after cleaning it no stalling💪
That inner tie-rod needs to be changed!🤔
If you use atf you will eventually get pump whine. Once you do get pump whine, because you will ignore or refute this comment, flush the system with power steering fluid and the whine may go away if you’re lucky. I know you used atf in your last car but this pump will whine if you use it.
I use the oil lexus recommends and never had whining issue although you are free to use whatever you think it’s best for you. Thanks for the comment.
Do you own an ls400? Cause it sounds like you don’t know what you’re talking about lol. If you used regular PS fluid the PS pump well grenade itself. These cars take ATF. Can read it in the owners manual
power steering fluid tf?
It's what the manual calls for. Old school Dex/Merc to be exact.
I had this issue start with my ford AU2 Ute and I’m so glad I saw your vid 🤙 I fully thought something was wrong with the gearbox itself
Looks a little lose
really did not show how to remove it or reinstall, not much worth seeing!!
I did not want to repeat other videos which cover the removal process. Brake light switch removal is very similar to other cars. Thanks.
would a 1997 ls400 pump fit a 1997 celsior? i know its the same but i want to know
As far as I know Celsior was the name of LS sold domestically in Japan. Your Lexus or Celsior dealer can verify; and buy OE parts not aftermarket. Thanks
What is that button above the parking 🅿 button for my rx300 awd is missing that button so I'm trying to find out what it does thank you
This botton which should have a black cover, is for emergency shifting the gear to Neutral without the key in the ignition like when towing. There should be videos explaing this action. Not sure why your model doesn't have this or all you see is the black cover. Thanks.
Nice job Master Mechanic
'promosm' 😈
I wonder if this will work on my ranger. It’s doing the exact same thing.
You would need to find out if your truck uses Throttle Cable. Newer model automobiles use Throttle by Wire instead.
@@simple8818 yes has cable. Thank you. I’ll try it out.
Thank man 🙏 you are boss you save my time and money tho one more to time
Outstanding 😮.. thank you for saving the day my car improved instantly 👌🙏
Sir corlla 92 1st generation 5A with auto cable gear . car shift 1st gear to 2nd gear on 2200 rpm . Is it normal or high. Due to high rpm shifting car consuming high gas . I check and very lose kick down cable but problem same. Any suggestions pl
Hi Kiwan, please check the ATF level and color of the fluid. If it is very dark (brown/black), it might need a flush; but ATF flush can cause transmission issue if it's never been done. It all depends on how regularly the transmission fluid was maintained in the past.
@@simple8818 thanks for ur kind reply. Do u think is there is solenoid issue? Transmissionoil color is red . Whixh is pretty new with thickness when u check it with ur fingers. Whats elea i can check or do? What is normal Rpm for shifting from 1sr gear to 2nd gear.
@@kiwanmansoor2863 I could't tell you much about your transmission and what the RPM should be. Have you looked up videos? You can search the web for your car's transmission documentation or purchase a used Toyota shop manual. Good luck.
Excellent breakdown of steps, that new pump looks very nice!!!
Who knew a thorough clean would make sure a big difference!?!? You made the difficult method look easy!
Hi, could you tell me the location and how to remove the SRS control unit on My 2001 Lexus RX300. I have to send out to get reset. Thanks Daniel
Use FULLY SYNTHETIC oil. Mobil. Then come back here and tell if that helped.
Excellent tutorial, couldn’t find a clear instruction video!
Great demonstration! Makes a seemingly challenging task seem easy👏
My cable will not tighten anymore I turned the nut all the way but stopper will not go any closer to the end do I need a new cable?
Hi Karin, if the car is still shifting abnormally then the issue may be somewhere else.
I have an issue on my 94 sc 400 when I step in the throttle all the way when I’m going 50mph it used to downshift to 2nd for faster acceleration but now it only downshifts one gear could it be from the throttle cable?
I’ll try the same procedure and let you know how my LS behaves. I recently did Valve clearance adjustment and car downshifts better when stepped on. Cleaned the TB front and back.
My car(LS400) does the same as yours when stepping on accelerator.
I have a question ,my car has two cables just like yours ,it looks like one is to adjust the throttle cable but what's the other cable for ? When I loosen my throttle cable does it create slack for the other cable ?
My other cable is for Cruise Control. It wouldn't cause a slack.
@@simple8818 I posted my comment before watching the whole video. When I loosen the throttle cable does it leave slack for the accelerator cable ?
@@oceanpacific3841 My reply was it shouldn't. Additionaly, what needs to be tested also is the cruise control operation after your work is completed. IF cruise never worked before that is a different issue. Good luck.
Lookin more closely at your question those two cables are the same. Throttle cable is the accelarator cable! If you need more help post your question at mechanic forums. Thanks.
@@simple8818 thank you for your help Sir :)
❤️(Hi sir pls help me to know the solution) i have nissan tiida 2006 & once my car engine gets cool like every after 4 or 5hrs later if i start my car then i shift the gear into D it takes 10 to 20 seconds to run the vehicle please let me know solution thanks lot
Do new cars also have throttle cables?
No most are using throttle by wire sending electronic signals instead of using cable.
can you show how to really replace the switch? specially to remove the panel
There are other videos that go thru step by step since the process of removing the switch is similar with other cars. As far as the kick panel goes the removal is easy but it gets harder from there when it comes time to replace the switch. Since we are dealing with brakes I recommend asking an expert mechanic.
I'm having the same issues on a kia sportage I sure hope this solves my problem as well ...thank you for sharing I would not have thought that ..thanks bunches god bless
Depends on wether the Sportage uses cable or not. Newer cars use electrical wire rather than cable.
Thanks alot man this video helped alot
Really appreciated.
Thank you for that information
Nice replacement!
Insightful elimination step to this problem!
[From the UK, 2022] Excellent video sir - many thanks.
On previous post j forgot to mention j change the fluid and filter twice and the 3 magnet was absolutely clean (0) both times .If some part of gearbox is broken there will be something on the magnet?
Not necessarily. There are times when small pirces of metal are found on the magnet due to wear and tear. Some cars are just notirious for transmission issues. Search for your car model to see if others are complaining about the transmission. Also mileage of the car plays a factor. Hope this helps.
J have toyota camry1992 2.2 automatic transmitions . 3 position of 6 are ok. Gearbox Work only in P --parking R ---reverse and N ---neutral .Don't work at all D---drive 2-- and L --- limp mode.On the dashboard display all lights work only the D drive Don't work. Also the back up lights and reverse light don't work. What is the problem neutral safety switch? Shifter or something else.Is it possible to put the transmition in D drive mehanical by hand ? J AM asking this because the mehanic says the gearbox is broken and j should buy a new.In reverse the car ride great .What is the problem
It's not possible to provide mechanical solution. Take a look at this video: ua-cam.com/video/sQeX2PlukMI/v-deo.html
So how did u fix it
Best video yet!!
Excellent instruction.
Glad it was helpful!
Now I understand automatic tranny comes in kick down cable control and electronic Trans control module.Good to start diagnosing all controls located outside first rather than jump to solenoid, gear set,oil level, etc.thank you for the good video.
Get a low-cost cordless ratchet off of Amazon for about $40 bucks! ua-cam.com/video/o8rV1L4Jf4k/v-deo.html
Good
So after adjusting the first nut counter-clockwise to adjust the cable and it's where you need it to be, you don't tighten the nut up that's closest to the black plastic cover to tighten it up?
Tighten both nuts. I believe there is a comment towards the end of the video. Thanks.
i was getting this problem for years since i bought my car and i finally got it fix and decide to check if anyone make a video
Went with this one after seeing others fail at lower torque in other videos
