Second flight of my first 2-stage rocket design. It's a 3" to 3" diameter rocket, made with hand rolled Carbon Fiber tubes, fiberglass fins, and fiberglass nosecones/couplers. It weighs 20 pounds and uses an Aerotech DMS L1000 booster motor to an Aerotech RMS K805 upper stage. More details are in the video.

I’m working on my next rocket project which will contain control surfaces to help decelerate and hit a precise altitude. @@Cyril-oh3lk Basic material strength. It can work even at 10gsm. You just can’t throw it hard. Softer paper = be more gentle Stiffer paper = you can throw harder. We used 100gsm for the world record
that is really cool but there's another guinness world record in 2022 a american football team decided to make a guinness world record for farthest paper airplane 289 ft 9 in that's the size of a whole football stadium

Yeah, it's just that the nose lock isn't there, so it looks very similar, but the folds are different. There were around 20 to 30 planes. Some of them will have the same folds. These were used for the record, and each one has different dimensions.

There’s a computer inside the nosecone called the BlueRaven. It has an accelerometer, gyroscope, and barometer to calculate how fast it’s going, where it’s pointed, and how high it is.
@@julianchee2894 what module you use for accelerometer and gyroscope ?? i'm trying to make one by using mpu6050, bmp280 and lora to send signal

This isn’t a tutorial. There are many ways to go about this, it’s just how I’ve done it. Jim Jarvis has a really good technical document online that got me started. I suggest reading it.

what is used to cover the composite lay after application of resin material?
Peel ply. It’s meant to soak up excess epoxy resin, but I use it primarily to ensure a consistent finish before one last epoxy coat for gloss.
