Well if you like that kind of thing, not exactly Horse Guards though. 🤔
Aiyo I feel bad for those who drop the rifle. Seriously not easy to perform these drills, they need to practice more
what the music at 13:21?
b
Whoever filmed this has super sharp camera. Thank you for sharing! 🥰
This seems more like a drill team than a guard change. Seems way too upbeat. Also they all left at the end so where’s the change?
Is the band actually playing Tequila? Or is it just another song?
Can they at least instill original British Drum Major mace drills? This one looks kinda whack. And they should really play OG British Marches like, "Vimy Ridge" or "Punjaub".
Don’t forget these boys are conscript soldiers. They aren’t professional soldiers who have twirled rifles for years. They have 1.5 year experience at best before they finish their service.
Are they giving nazi salute?
Changing of the Guard in Singapore like they have an audition that's weird
This was SO gay as far a military terms are concerned.
I can understand the immense pressure of performing in front of the public and they did an admirable job. Rifle twirling can be unpredictable and most spectators are encouraging and appreciative. The precise rifle throwing & catching at such a distance was certainly worthy of applause for the effort they put in training.
Eu sou admirador das apresentações com as de trilhas sonoras dos seriados americanos, me traz boas lembranças que assistia na TV.
6:40 it was at this moment he knew he fucked up
After watching several videos of the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington, I came here. Um...nice, well disciplined dance troupe.
Yeah, right? And I’m really disappointed that they’re actually using fake “cadet training” rifles. It’s pretty sad, but we’re comparing them to unit that has a well earned reputation for its traditions and ceremonies. This definitely more of a show than a solemn demonstration of military customs and courtesies. But on the other hand they look snappy and well their musical selections are nice. Their Navy counterparts are setting up a synchronized swimming honor guard with women in mermaid suits. It promises to be even more entertaining. Of course they’re still working on getting the huge swimming tank on wheels to stop splashing out the water with the bumps in the road. The last test group said that it looked like the old sea world orca attraction with water spraying everywhere. The cleaning crew also ran out of the extra absorbent towels, making cleanup even harder. Oh well, I’m sure that they will get it right, eventually.
@@wilfredosoto2722 You're comparing a full-time force of regulars with real war experience to a conscripted army of 18 year olds whose main job is to defend an island 170 times smaller than New York?
@@SharkbaitOhLala actually combat experience has nothing to do with precision drill. In fact for a very long time the most of the soldiers in the US Army’s 3rd Infantry Regiment “The Old Guard” that is part of the ceremonial troops in Washington DC weren’t combat experienced soldiers. In fact, unlike some countries like the UK for example, the troops assigned to ceremonial duties in Washington, DC, don’t rotate as whole units. What the US does have however is lots of traditions and a very regimented adherence to them. Likewise, the only actual ceremonial changing of a guard unit is at Arlington, VA, and although there is a rifle and uniform inspection that is very precise and there is precision marching, it’s done with solemnity because it’s at the Tomb of the Unknown. There is no unit drilling about there, the drill units do their drills as demonstrations or exhibitions, not as part of a ceremony. When those units participate in ceremonies it’s just that, ceremonies, and they certainly don’t play pop music to their drills. There are tons of militaries that do the same all over the world. They can do what they want, more power to them, my opinion, and you’re entitled to your own, is that the fancy thing isn’t needed and could be better done as an apart from the ceremonial changing of the guard and not as a floor show. And FYI, I have served as a ceremonial guard for dignitaries, raising and lowering of Post flags on bases, and on funeral details on many occasions in the US Army in my 10 years of service, and I’m proud to have had that honor and privilege. No, there is no comparing these guys with the US Army’s, but there are others that come very close and that I admire. I’m not knocking these guys, but again they don’t have to be battle hardened troops to have a more appropriate and dignified presentation. They don’t have to copy the US military either, that’s not what it’s about. But check out the Greeks changing of the guard at their monument to their fallen. That’s most impressive. The changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace or Edinburgh Castle, the Swiss Guard at the Vatican too, all very impressive. If these had left out the drill team and had them perform separately somewhere else, the changing of the palace guard would have been more impressive. It’s like the drill team is competing for attention and there’s no need. That’s all.
@@wilfredosoto2722 OK

Rifle......
Look like high school marching band, lol
The music here sounded too much like tunes played at a street parade rather than a dignified pomp and circumstance march.🎵🎷🎺
Pretty good. However, I find Taiwan's better.
👍👍

don't get me wrong it was very good Just some aspects reminded me of a high school band not military at all , and I kinda know military a little.
멋있어요
Ok ok keep the flips to a minimum I don't see changing or guard. It shows no respect when you flip that much
@@tankman1214 I didn't say that they were the guards I am saying they are kind of tainting what is supposed to be a beautiful ceremony
But it is a tradition that they flip rifles, so if you don't know then don't talk so much.
@@Thefoodofficer I do know. I work in this business. I am in the honor guard for an auxiliary of the airforce. Sounds like you are assuming that I don't know what I'm talking about. Tradition or not they are putting on an unnecessary show for a very serious event.
@@noviceturtle8042 Are you in the Singapore Armed Forces?
Great sense of entertainment
6:37 You can see the fear in his eyes as he prepares to throw the rifle Please don't drop Please don't drop Please don't drop *SHIT*

Hello. I wanted to kindly remind you that I sent you a message about your video. Please read my previous comment. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
What time does it take place?
It's becoming more of a joke, not polished
no one is stopping you from laughing, if you think that it is indeed a joke
@@ozinsheng2354 Those guys had it tough, I salute them.
Too much stunt. Should have keep it simple and sleek to earn respect. It become a joke with slight mistake.
why is there one person who is doing the drill different from the others
Very good. You need not perform excessive stunts. Quick, sharp and orderly manner performing it like a discipline military soldier and not like an acrobat show will already able to impress people very much. Any single mistake by anyone may spoilt the whole show and leave no good impression for spectators. In taiwan, their guards will not make own extra movenent as they like. This is call well disciplined.
This is the 2nd time when i see someone is worried and flipping that thing, he is going to drop his rifle. And it did.
Bro you making it sound so easy then you ownself go try la??
Wen Jie wen i am saying it is quite fishy or funny or whatever words to put it, it seem that it is better not to flip that little string for no gd reason and then that incident happen again.
Is the white cloth around the neck used to absorb sweat?
Yes. It's a maxi-pad for necks. 🙄
Here is the audio feedback file! www.mediafire.com/file/zep1f0ev8etmq58/Changing%20of%20the%20Guard%20Singapore%206%20May%2018.mp3
I see spds now is upping their game to follow ncc style stunts
Its quite hard becos ncc use dummy rifle that would weigh much less than the real mark iv that weighs 5kg.
The SAF Band played 贺新年 & 大地回春 to soak in the Lunar New Year atmosphere. Thank you all.
Thank you for the video. Very nice.
do you have video of the contingent drills?
Glad 2 see spds adopting more stunts in their performances which makes it more interesting!
