My grandpa has a collection of vintage lego, from the late 60’s to the early 80’s. I have some incomplete but working 12 volt trains. (720 & 7750 with motor but incomplete, 7810 without motor but complete.) I have been slowly piecing them toghether, and i still like them and the 12V system more then my 60052 and 60051.

Have you ever had an idea and figured it already exists so you google it and lo and behold someone already made it, usually with a cool video or article attached? I just did that with lego trains wireless charging, then with lego trains carring beer, and then lego trains controlled by twituc streamers, and youre 2/3 of those lol. I wish i had a house, i would definitely be making my train pickup snacks you can pick on your phone, habe it be able to go through every room in my house, and have the audience war over them in the background to get the snacks to me. I really like the idea of audience interactivity and being lazy so a few snacks are always on deck to be carried to you at any time. You haven't posted in a long time, any future plans?

THANK YOU for this video! I have the same story, this was my centerpiece in my childhood city too, from 1986-1992 ❤We`re the same age. I still have it but in pieces, with a few important pieces missing. I counted them today and one base, its wheels and magnet couplings, one red door, one red/black-printed panel and five big- and one small windows are missing. It haven`t been in action/assembled ever since (approx 1992). `This` came up today because I got over a complete set in mint condition(!) for "only" $400 so I consider to but it. This one too have all the stickers to the sheet so they`re not applied, as yours. What do you think, should I buy it? 😁

I have one of these in the attic, used it only once at Xmas in the 80’s as I got a Hornby at the same time. Good to see it’s worth something it seems

A little suggestion on your Elevator or "Lift" as we call it here in dear ol' England: If friction is a burden for your lift as it descends down the shaft, try putting a small weight in or on your liftcar. If you chose to motorize your lift and the motor sounds/looks like it is struggling with the added weight, try gearing it down which will be beneficial on the motor; along with adding a more realistic speed to your lift at the same time! Hope this helps!
