great explanation. Just bought Axis and Allies for my 9 year old son for Christmas
I just wanted to say thanks for this tutorial! Right around 9 years ago by chance of a fluke I came across this video of yours. Your explanation was clear and concise. I had never heard of Axis and Allies, and your video made me want to try it. Now I’ve played hundreds of games and most every edition.. So just, thanks!!!!
You deserve more credit thanks
how do you attack and defend
how do you attack and defend
You missed an infantry for the USA in the empty Chinese Province. But all and all a good basic introduction.
Fake
Hi Guys, in a recent game we played using the OOB the British fleet fleet entered the German minefield on move 1 and remained there for the rest of the game as the rule state that only on entering a minefield or passing through one, a roll is made for mine damage. my opponent contended that as he was already in the area no mine damage was taken and nothing in the rules allowed me to contest this. Also, despite his battleship being damaged, he contended that it was eligible to fire in support of seaborne landings made on the German coast. there seems to be nothing in the rules to say that damaged ships must return to port for repair immediately. I concluded that: 1) my opponent was "gaming" the rules to his own advantage 2) the rules have several loopholes that need to be closed if anyone can point out to me what is to stop the above situation i would be grateful. it seems ridiculous that a fleet of ships can remain in a minefield without penalty for several game turns and to fire in every turn without having to take any damage from mines, or even to resupply with fuel and ammunition however there is nothing in the rules i could find to prevent this.
In the rules it said moved into not MOVES so even if they stayed...... According to the rules Page 17... At the end of this phase, the player controlling the corresponding territory (or the original controller if it’s contested) rolls one die for each of your ships that MOVED into or through each enemy minefield sea zone. Each ship is called out one at a time and one die is rolled. A roll of 1 will mean the removal of the ship, except for undamaged battleships, which instead become damaged. (So whenever a round ends those Enemies ships continue to get mined on their and your turn unless they take complete control of the territory. That should help you also wipe out their battleship if they keep it there.)
New idea for drinking game...whenever he says basically u drink
British is not a country its the United Kingdom
Hi, US starts with 17, is a rulebook typo
wow dude, your da best person ever with info thanks a lot!
am a new player too, and you helped a lot. the instructions are worthless/the rule book
ikr
he's great explaniner
this is the best video of this game ever
thanks this really helped
So basically this helped alot
Is this channel still managed by someone?
2:33 his name was general erwin rommel
Good job. You should make some pro videos. You'll be very successful. Other videos are crummy from other sources. Show the battle steps better, with their little cutouts
I don't even have the game, why am I watching this ?
Thank you for making these!!! Very helpful
I’d say instead of calling them countries call them territories (like Western Europe)
I have taken Tuscany first turn , with Austria Hungary ,I don't agree with your naval strategy ,in my games with 1914
Thanks for the great explanation.
lol
My son and I just started playing and this is so much easier than trying to read the instruction manual. Thanks!
Very helpful thank you! the manual is very confusing for completely new players.
Thanks man. Just got this game in 2019 and these videos were so helpful!
Where can you buy the game?? I have always wanted to have a game like that game. I love Axis & Allies 1st and 2nd Edition with a passion. But, I have never heard of Axis & Allies 1914 until few days ago. Can it be played online?? Germany should not attack Switzerland at all. Switzerland should remain neutral throughout the war. I think it should be played like the real war. Btw, they are provinces within the country.
Thanks a lot, this ironed out all of my questions!
At 2:37 then general nick named the desert fox.
thank you )
Thanks so much for this video it helps a lot
I have this edition thank you for making this
He starts realistically at 2:46
He looks like my friend from London
He does
I got this for 15$ at target
Hey man, nice explanation! I have gone through all the videos in this series. I would like to know where is your accent from because you sound crystal clear to me. I am from Brazil, by the way.
In the Game I played I built a battleship, a cruiser and several transports for Germany. Those transports were a big factor. I could use them to attack Britain, so Britain was forced to build forces in London, giving the Ottomans breathing space. Or I could land in Russian territories behind front line, meaning they had to maintain forces back. Those transports, especially until I decided what to do with them, were a very strategic resource.
Please come back dad we miss you :(
Many time basically is used otherwise nice
Can’t wait to play now helped a ton
