Brian Wilson Band - “Darlin’” with Darian on lead vocals
Переглядів 2692 роки тому
Brian Wilson Band - “Darlin’” with Darian Sahanaja on lead vocals at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT, Friday, 10/08/21. They were very strict with being allowed to take videos; therefore, I had to keep the phone on the darkest setting, keep it low and I couldn’t maneuver it like I wanted to. Enjoy! Because of this I also missed the first second of the song.

Asheville NC...we were there...
@@rickgreene5078 - Nice! 🏖️ 🎶
SOUTHERN ROCK IS THE VERY BEST, AND THE MUSICIANS ARE THE VERY BEST IN THE BUSINESS, LOVED THE OUTLAWS SINCE 1975,S GREEN GRASS AND HIGH TIDES ALBUM, EXCELLENT MUSICIANS.
Gary Griffin !!!
Great guy! He took the time to talk to my son a couple of times, who is also a musician. 👏🏼
Well !!! 😂😂I I
Brian received the shortest introduction and is ready on stage to go faster than any other introduced! Go Brian!😊❤
So many legends
Yes!! 🏖️
We love that after shunning the road for those 10 years or so - BW came back and performed all over the world - including the whole Smile Album!
Sorry for the last I meant mike love is a jerk
B Wilson is a jerk
Poor old Brian. It is almost like 'Wake me up when you are finished',
DANG!! I was all ready to watch a kick-ass show!!! ☹️
4:05 Already a song or improvised? Love the added vibes and the bell at the end!
Hi! It’s “Tighten Up” by Archie Bell & the Drells from 1968. Thanks for the comment. 🏖️ 👦🏻👦🏼
Thank you so much for recording this! This is one of my favorite Outlaws songs. As a proud member of the Four Horsemen I am looking forward to seeing this band again sometime in 2023.
You're welcome! My son and I love it too! It reminds us our hometown. Well written! We hope to see them again soon too. 🔥 🎸🎸🎸 🔥
This is far and above the call that Michael Kay gave. Sterling is still king of calls.
Agreed! ⚾
@@drowser598 sterling has done it again...another great call!!
Thanks for posting. I listened to game one on the radio in the car, but I watched game two on tv. Wanted to hear Sterling though. So great
You're welcome! ⚾
Thanks for posting this! Sterling called it well. (Btw where is Suzan Waldman ? she should’ve been in the booth for this)
You’re welcome! ⚾️
I think she’s out for Yom Kippur.
Been waiting all year for this call lmao
Excellent
I expected more from John. swiiiing and a miss
thank for this selfless act of kindness sir. u are a gentleman and a scholar
📻 🧙♂️ ⚾ 👍
Also RIP Billy Hinche
Rest In Peace Nick Walusko aka Nicky Wonder
Brian is such a humble guy. He doesn't even wait for the build-up, the intro and applause. Just comes out right on the heels of Jardin, almost together. Leaves little time for fanfare, and then he gets right to it. Always a cool guy. I would love to meet him.
He is very humble, and has said he loves the standing o’s.🙏🏻💜💜💜
right?! he has no ego at all. fucken love him
Love how they did the ‘more cowbell’ reference
Where was the lovely backup singer Taylor Mills? (She must've been busy fulfilling other commitments.)
I believe she left some time ago. Some reports say she left to start a family and some say she left to concentrate on her own career, but I’m not sure. Last I heard she was married to the drummer from Styx, Todd Sucherman. 👩🏼 🥁
Never got to meet Brian or Al, but I did get to watch the SUV they were riding in hit a big stone ash tray at 2mph while leaving the Community Center Theater in Sacramento, California.
i both one at a second hands store for six dollars like one year ago
RIP Billy!
Paul *really* needs to change things up a bit -- last night, almost five and a half years later to the *date*, he said that Probyn learned to play trombone "just for this show."
Too bad everyone has to stand up for the whole concert anymore.
I think I'm gonna be sick.
Yes, great intro. Wish you captured the first song after that big buildup.
It wasn’t the first song of the night. The band intros occurred after coming back from intermission. The first song was “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” because they played Pet Sounds in its entirety. This was the Pet Sounds Tour. I strictly intended to record the intros because I had seen it before and I liked it. Thanks for watching!
@@drowser598 No biggie. I just got excited to hear them after that wonderful Intro. Cheers
Cheers!
So, what did they open with?
The intros occur after intermission. The first song after the intros was “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” because they played the Pet Sounds album in its entirety. This was a continuation of the Pet Sounds 50th anniversary tour. The first song to start the concert was “California Girls”.
@@drowser598 Thanks!
What name did they perform as since one band member stole the name Beach Boys
They just bill it as Brian Wilson. His band is top notch! 🏖
Looks like it would be an incredible show, but for best introduction, I nominate ua-cam.com/video/nX8a2SztE6k/v-deo.html
The percussionist's intro needed more cowbell
Ran into Al as I was waiting to catch a plane at the Reno airport back around '89 or so.
Lucky!!
Perfect title for a brilliant video of brilliant people. Thanks for the upload 👏
You’re welcome!
The title is correct. I would hope to see this show someday......odds are against it but there's always hope.
Hinsche!
You all never heard Thijs Van Leer do focus band member announcing
Anybody knows the title of the base guitar intro @ 0:47?
It’s “Walk on the Wild Side” by Lou Reed.
Nelson isn't with the band anymore. And sadly, Nicky passed away. The REAL thing - Blondie Chaplin - indeed. Al and the Brian jogs by,
I was at Berklee in Boston. Helped Beach Boys set up for the concert. Partied at the Hotel all nite. I970. I was 19.
Wow! All of the Wilsons. Must have been some experience.
Seen Brian at Mohegan Sun. 4 years ago. Still talk about it. Al Jardine a true friend
Brian's farewell tour. It was the best Shit he's still on tour
After that now I want to see the show
The best intro of a band is from King Curtis 1971 live at filmore west about 7 minutes with the fantastic Bernard Purdie
Yes! Very good, but I never saw that because I was only 8 years old at the time. I’ve listened to it though. As you know many artists were influenced by King Curtis including Bruce Springsteen and Clarence Clemons. 🎷
Murry should have been there imagine how much better it could have been!
