I love you Brian Mason.
Where was this show? I don’t recognize anyone, was this in Rochester or in Ithaca?
Holy shit! the Dre covers... I don't actually think I've seen this one before.
fuckin awesome Lon Rest In Peace! mung bean always great shows!
I like my performance art of coiling a guitar cable during the first song
"Is that me? Nope, I don't deal with electronics, must be Dano" haha
This was also around the time that Lon would randomly go up to people smoking cigarettes and say smoking’s not cool in a loud gruff voice 😂
Sadly this video doesn’t have Drew Verstraete on drums because John and Jim the guitar player had kicked him out on the down low behind Lon’s back which was obviously a point of contention and kind of the beginning of the end of Solution? Lon hated the new drummer Sam who was Jim’s friend because his favorite band was Queensrÿche who Lon also always hated mostly because of Geoff Tate I think 😂 but there are several awesome songs here that aren’t on any other Solution? recordings 💚
They played this show because they were invited by Milk Toast from Ithaca/Cortland and when Dameon Torrey the bass player/singer of Milk Toast told Lon no money but exposure Lon said yeah like I wanna be exposed to Vestal 😂
In the first scene with Lon and John Schoen they’re snapping their fingers because they were part of the anti dude league and every time someone said dude they’d snap their fingers because they thought dude had become way over used.
This is awesome
All for the love of Lon!!!
🤘💚🤘
GEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARS MORE GEARS
Worst roast from a robot ever.... I expected so much more.
Nice work
I didn't know Donald Trump played guitar.
Are you saying I look like Trump? 🤣
@@SulacoNY oh hell no. I was referring to the foul-mouthed robot. 🤣
@@Chris-is6xb 🤣
Awesome
Still good even after 11 years.
They sound the same I was wondering I have the 412 be100 cab with the hx stomp so I was wondering how close I was to the real thing I'm using the peavey 6505 for my power amp through the fx loop
That is the most adorable thing I've seen today!
Incredible! This album is going to be great!
Omg you’re so lucky you got your ass handed by an immortal guitar god. LUCKY
Harkins Theatres
That’s awesome.
Damn Atrox that's nucking futz!
Cool video! You are lucky too have such a great rig...... helps answer alot of wuestions alot of us have about the helix replacing / standing in for an amp live. Thanks man.
BML, from 2005 rocking riffs in garageband.com
Not quite sure what you mean?
@@SulacoNY First time i hear it, was on that page. You're my favorite band. Red creek runner my favorite song. (sorry, my writing its poor, am a spanish talker from Chile)
@@damc8177 Thank you man! I remember uploading some stuff to that when bandcamp started being a thing.

Rochester's finest.
Sounds good. Why is their no track of the Contrarian Album on UA-cam? BangerTV lead me here ;-D
Thanks man. The new album is not out yet
Brian Mason ok 👍 waiting for it 🙌
AWESOME. I actually like the Helix model tone. Bites a bit more and will prob cut in the mix better.
I get what you are saying, but one thing this test proves is that the exact same settings on the Helix and the BE-100 don't match 100%. The Placater is a touch brighter. Bumping the presence up a notch would bring the BE-100 and Placater almost exact. That said... it's incredible how close they got this model... especially at high volumes.
Oh for sure. I noticed that a while back but the nice part is ... same setting WILL get you 80% there for the most part. And as you said, once in a mix in a live band setting, NOBODY would hear the difference.
I'm pretty sure I was at this show.
you Rip, great feel
Thank you! This entire album is full of rippers. Can't wait for it to come out
They still get pretty damn close. I was running similarly, but using Helix into an EVH 5153 fx loop, but have since sold the amp. These modern amp rely less on the power section for their tone. Which is why Friedman swears he can capture a BE100s essence in a pedal or synergy module. I use a Friedman powered wedge (ASM12) and am stoked with what I hear. Also, I use a SD Powerstage 170 and Marshall 1960BV (with helix or AA6) when I wanna move air old school style. Also, the Atomic AA6 is a great alternative. I feel like their BE100 cleans up just a bit better, ie more dynamic. Both great option tho. Nice demo!
Sounds awesome (obviously the camera mic's a bit compressed and squishy, but we get the idea) Are you using custom IRS? Charvel kills it! Sweet.
Thank man. Yeah, the iPhone is no way to show the tones, but i figured i'd capture it all anyway. I did not use this take FWIW. I used 3 different Celestion IR's. Two for rhythm (Placater/BE-100) and another one for solos (Soldano SLO). All were Creamback H75 412 IR's with different mic's. I just wanted to use what i was familiar with both amp-wise and speaker-wise. I have a BE-100 stack with CB H75's loaded in the cab.
What p.u are you using in your Charvel?
Steve Bernstein BG Hellabuckers in most of my guitars.
I didn't think that was the stock SD JB.. Sounds fatter and warmer.
yeah. I like the JB in darker sounding guitars, but the Hellabucker is my favorite bridge pickups
Playing starts at 4:30
Nailed it!!!!! Wow!! Very impressive!! Nice tone!! Share that preset!!! : )
I've considered doing this with my Lone Star, but what I've found is that modeling the preamp is only half the equation. You're switching out the BE100 preamp for the Placater preamp, but running it into the analog BE100 power and cab. Even then, as you've discovered, it's not quite there. Now if you could run an A/B between the BE100/cab and the Helix/FRFR or Helix/power amp/cab, and compare those two sounds, how close can you get? My experience is that the power section is a huge part of the dynamics of the signal. How likely is it that the BE100 preamp section goes bad, but you could still use the power section with the Helix preamp? Can you split that cab stereo, and run the BE100 to one speaker, and use your Helix/power amp to the other speaker and then A/B that?
kurt shetler i can try that at some point for a vid, but have already done that at practice spot. It's pretty dead on still. Granted, my power amp is a power amp made for guitar. I like to stick to familiar. I'm not an FRFR guy though, so i can't make that comparison. I do have a first patch for my DAW with IRs of the cabinets i use and that rules too
Andy is such a good singer.

nic can you help me ,I need one 3d logo animated called FeisalTv for my UA-cam channel

Thanks. This is so old, i don't remember the source of that music. Sorry about that. I don't even have this project on my computer anymore to check.
