Thank you so much for commenting and sorry it took so long for me to reply! ❤️ I have been thinking about eyeshadow panning a lot recently. I have almost felt like I hate eyeshadow all together but now I realize that's not the case. I have just been too focused on panning and making progress. Because of that I have not allowed myself to wear the type of tones and looks that I really want to wear and I have often worn heavier looks what I really want to wear. I think in future I may do usage based eyeshadow projects but I need to stop focusing on hitting pan and finishing shades. I hope I can make some progress on the Huda Beauty palette though!

When I filmed this grwm I was ready to abandon the whole seasonal color analysis. Then I realized that I'm most likely not a muted season at all and not as warm as I thought, just like you pointed out (which makes sense now, because before color analysis I always thought I'm neutral slightly leaning warm). ua-cam.com/video/TqL33IoPaNo/v-deo.html

Hi! 💖 I would recommend to get a live color analysis with a professional, if you really want to figure out your season. My experience is that an online analysis can go wrong and it has been so much trial and error to figure out the season I actually am. But if you want to try and figure it out yourself, I would watch a lot of content and read about color analysis. First try to figure out if you are cool or warm, after that if you are clear or muted, after that the subseason.

Thank you so much! Now I actually had to take a small break because I got sick in the beginning of the month and then we had our anniversary trip. I already notice how it's so much harder to get back to it, even though the break has been less than 2 weeks. I hope it gets easier with time.

Thank you! Yeah, it totally felt like I was forcing myself to be an autumn. I may still want to wear some of those more muted and comfy colors especially this time of the year, but I need to add something brighter to my look to make them work better! Thanks for the perfume recommendation, I need to smell it! I have the Theodoros Kalotinis The Coffee Addict perfume that I forgot to mention in this video. That is a way more coffee forward perfume than the Mancera one.

I definitely won't, I still wear a lot of black, white/ivory and beige. But most of my colorful autumn colors (mustards, burned oranges, olive and khaki greens) as well as darker browns just don't look too good on me so I will try to sell them 🙂 I still like classic and timeless style and a really bright colorful outfit ain't it 😂 But a pop of something bright makes a huge difference for me. That's interesting to hear about your color season! What season are you? For me a bubblegum pink is a no, altough it's a beautiful color! A darker pink looks actually really good on me 🙂 A camel coat is my favorite too! Thanks for your comment 💖

Thank you Julia! 💖 I personally believe that unless you are one of the extremely cool or warm seasons, you can most likely pull off colors in the "wrong" undertone. Especially if the color is otherwise right, for example for you a lighter color.

@@KatariinasVanity I got rid of so many bright colored clothes a few years ago and I wish I did the draping first. I'll definitely have to do that now. 🙂

Thank you, Mili! Yeah, now I totally see that the hair color I had made my whole complexion warmer and more muted. I think if I got a live analysis back then the result would have been warm autumn. That's excantly how I feel I look! Lifted and also younger. I think my hair might be bit ashy when it grows out but we'll see. It's been 20 years since I had my own hair color. Back then it was a light brown, now it's probably bit darker. But now I notice my roots keep a cooler tone compared to the brown dye, which was cool originally but with time starts to get a yellow tint. But when it comes to my eyes and skin, I do think they are really clear. I also still think I lean warm, because my whole life I have felt that I need to work too hard to make cool colors work. But some of those cooler bright colors look really good! That coral is such a nice color!

I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing that! Bright jewel tones are so beautiful, I just didn't think before that I could pull them off.

@@KatariinasVanity you totally can. The workout outfit in particular was a great colour on you. Maybe some scarves in these colours would be a good way to introduce them to your wardrobe?

Adding a bright scarf or two was actually something I was thinking about! Becuase I feel I look really tired in my neutral outerwear. But then again I don't necessary want to get a bright colorful coat.

@@KatariinasVanity Scarves are great, especially with the weather getting cooler. Maybe if you experiment over Autumn and Winter you can get more comfortable with the bright colours and introduce a couple of pieces for Spring and Summer 🙂

I have been thinking about single eyeshadows, but honestly right now it feels such a hassle to purchase them, especially since I don't really love eyeshadow anymore. I still decided to keep the magnetic palette if I change my mind later. Currently I feel more drawn to quads and small neutral palettes. Ideally I would want to have couple of those Charlotte Tilbury or other luxury quads as everyday palettes since they would also fit into my makeup bag. But they are so expensive I can't justify buying those right now.

@@KatariinasVanity For sure, I don't wear eyeshadow at all, so I was thinking minimal but few high quality eyeshadows, don't know how fast an eyeshadow could get to an empty pan.

I would say since it already causes problems just declutter it. Instead use something newer that you love and enjoy wearing 💖

That really is a downside in Pan That Palette, so I understand why it doesn't for for a lot of people. I always love the project in the beginning, but after a while it starts to feel forced and I miss using other eyeshadows.

Totally agree! 💖 Oh that Tarte palette is so beautiful! I'm glad you are able to enjoy it now. Your next years panning plan sounds great! I feel my collection is at the point that right now panning doesn't make a lot of sense. But if I ever pan again, it will for sure be my favorite products!

I saw that too and I'm happy they broght it back! It's such a classic and I see the color story working for many people. That being said, I had the palette back in the days and I think it was leaning little bit too cool for me. While it has some stunning shades like Half Baked, I probably wouldn't get any use out of those gunmetals and purple leaning shades.

Mountain definitely is the root I feel strongest about! And the more I think about the more I feel fire is my root. There is something in moon that I am drawn to, but I feel my style is not edgy enough.

@@KatariinasVanity Yeah I have a full review of the book on the channel, and I mention briefly how I found it easier to determine the roots from there, as it talks about personality traits - not just style preferences! For me, im drawn to some elements of the moon, and one of my style words is actually "edgy" - but it's created through contracting styles / items, not just through wearing black, chains, studs and other "hard" elements! I find moon & mountain quite contrasting, so it's rare that if you feel so strongly drawn to mountain's polished side, you'll also have the "rough", undone side of moon!

Thank you Jen! Yeah, only a small collection of eyeshadow is totally my thing in future. I do enjoy my smaller collection a lot other than I now realized the older eyeshadows are sadly expired and causing me a reaction. So I will need to do another declutter later to declutter the really old stuff, because I don't want to risk another reaction.

It totally gets warmer here in the summer, the ringlight with the warm weather just makes the bedroom hot and I didn't realize to but the ac on early enough 😄 But you are right, we do consider +25 celcius degrees hot weather / heat. And typically we don't get that kind of temperatures this time of year anymore. I will need to think about getting something like that! In the past I had shade adjuster drops and they made my foundation grey. Maybe there are better ones out there these days 😄 But at least I will mix the foundation with a darker shade if it doesn't match in winter.

Same here! Merino wool I can usually wear, at least if it's fine. But I have tried some thicker knitwear labeled as merino wool and got itchy 🤷🏼‍♀️ We also do have some smaller trift stores especially in cities, but the best ones are these larger halls located outside of a city centres :)
