The UNTOLD story of the CRAZIEST XXL Freshman you've NEVER HEARD OF
love this documentary. been getting into cole lately
U can't comment... u made that clear in your video
Great fucking concept for a video
FNL should’ve been what it was. Classic mixtape. Would’ve flopped as an album. Cole is my top 5 oat btw
MONICA PLEASE, this site was only good because the hos.
Be invest tho drake makes incredible music
This video is spot-on and beautifully executed. Congratulations on being good at what you are doing.
Bro, please make more of this kind of content. Shit is so inspirational fr
16:55 “it’s waaaay darker this time”
#BodyBagDrizzy
FNL, Truly Yourz, Born Sinner, & FHD will forever hold a place in my heart 🖤
Cole had a Classic RUN Bro dropped: The Warm Up Truly yourz 1,2,3 Friday Night Lights Born sinner Revenge of the Dreamers Friday Night Lights!!!! Hope he can bring back that feeling on The Fall Off !
ROTD 1, 2, & 3
man un excited for it but knowing it’s his last is crazy 😭Cole bout to pull a Andrè3000 on us & disappear
There a truly yours 3
This is the best breakdown I’ve seen in awhile… quite refreshing to see someone with common sense 🫡 still cole 🌎
Warm up > Friday night lights
Friday night lights should of been his debut Debut album damm
This has to be one of the best breakdowns of a song I've seen in a long time, properly organized from beginning to the end 💯 thank you brother
Best video about J Cole's moves around the beef, period.
The world was goofy back then. They couldn't understand a sideline story or a section 80. But now...
Cole really is the 1 man. Hate that ppl don't see that
wen he retires believe they gon act like they always liked him
Well illustrated
I remember the impact Drake’s So Far Gone Mixtape had and how many upcoming rappers changed their whole style and approach at that time once it dropped.
you just gained a subscriber, i like your work
DAMN GOOD SHOW!!!
Finally someone with comprehension making a video about this!
the fact that kendricks first diss against drake was a feature on a drake song lol
Not mentioning spittas mixtape run is criminal when you put wiz in there
Idk if it was a sample clearance issue or anything but i truly believe "You Got It ft. Wale" could've done real well on the radio in 09-10. Cole has other songs in hindsight that mightve done well give some of the hits we've heard after Cole's start, but i dont blame the label there. You Got It was the little party club song that was staring them right in the face.
I'm SO tired of people discounting Cole's mixtapes EPs and the literal dozens of other songs he's released over the years FOR FREE when talking about incredible "discography". Drake too for that matter. They're either ignorant or blatantly ignoring it because it doesn't support their views. Cole could re-release those songs as 3 separate albums and it would blow up the internet. & Drake already did one.
Fr tho! Those “underground” tracks are the real classics!🔥
Friday Night Lights is tied with Dark Fantasy as my favorite "album" of all time and while i was aware of his struggle to make it, getting a full deep dive does amplify a project I already adored.
Finally someone Talkin about this classic Mixtape Songs such as. “Farewell, See World and Too Deep for the intro" are just so😖 and do not forget his feature on “Bonus: Looking for trouble" one of his *first great feature*
Did he fall? His latest album with Lil Peep is one of the best ever
Can’t wait for the born sinner video, maybe you should do a video for all of his albums? That would be dope
The work and research that you put into this video is dope. You deserve more recognition 🔥🔥
Trey, when he got out the car on Boyz in the Hood analogy is the best one. Its Trey being himself. That doesn't mean he doesn't love his lost homie and avenge for the loss. But its not the way. Perfect analogy.
🙏🏽💯🇬🇧
13:25 this is nasty work 😂. Fantano never said that
Amazing compilation
From the JUMP, I've been saying Cole dissing Kendrick (and vice versa) didn't line up. I questioned his integrity on 7 Minite Drill. I didn't think him backing out was so terrible, and he saw where things were going. Port Antonio makes sense to me. Not to say anyone who disapproves doesn't have a valid reason not to feel it.
Good video. I’m as big of a fan as you. Had to destroy all of my pictures, laminated tickets, and vinyls. But hey, I understand the copium as well…
That was a great year for music… my senior year of hs/freshman yr of college. Good times! We were spoiled.. I loved More About Nothing and my roommate loved Friday Night Lights and we would be blasting both in our room all year. I got introduced to weed by way of Wiz, whom the guy I was dating was in love with lol. I also got introduced to Section 80 that year from a homie that was from Cali and bought Kendrick (music) on campus. Of course Nicki and Drake were already deep into their runs… man d times!!
...lol
You gotta do so far gone by drake
Great vid
For what is a man to gain the whole world and in exchange for his soul?
This video is so good 🔥
I’m sick of the stupid narrative that all rappers use bots to sell their music. It’s such a disrespectful stance to assume everybody has low integrity in the rap game. When you’re great and your music is great, you don’t need to pay for bots.
Idk, I fill like cole saying it, it has some truth, he in the industry, so I’m sure he got some real insight on things that go on behind the scenes.. I don’t take nothing that go on in the industry at face value, it’s definitely some manipulation in that shit. Niggas winning awards, radio play, getting looks on certain shit, sells, all that shit have some kind of manipulation
By the time I dropped FHD I was smacking them bitches out 😭😭😭 Cole talking to Conway is fire
2:29 nah thats crazy telling a guy thats litterally blowing up at the same time as drake that he can be the “new drake” 😭
Drake cleared Cole by that time, he started in 2006.
U can tell Cole was lowkey pissed😭
finally somone who understand and help another to understand and not milking it
Friday Night Lights is the GOAT Mixtape
