Can u clear one thing, im currently working as windows application developer using VB NET and MS SQL for long years with this old tech. I need a career transition demanding fields, so i have planned to move towards to Data engineering with Cloud. And recently i got my interest towards AI, some says without ML can pursue Gen AI, Agentic AI jobs.. What’s ur view on that? someone like me which is better career transition??

My biggest challenge in AI/ML has been implementing the mathematical/statistical concepts using code. And sometimes the errors I encounter are so hard to navigate and rectify that once I fix them, a new error pops up.

I currently hold a Master's Degree in Cyber Security and I look forward to completing this AI roadmap. My industry supervisor mentioned to me before saying that "As AI gradually matures, there will be an increased demand in Cyber Security". This motivated me to learn AI since I strongly believe that AI coupled with Cyber Security can greatly enhance the technical aptitude of an individual. All the best to all learners out there.

I am starting to feel in 2025 more (Sr) dev don't care about ML and will skip this and will be focused on AI automation, programming LLM agentic solutions and customizing AI agent using RAG. This is where I sense things are moving. ML is like coding in assembly language and really most dev with experience don't got time for this. Companies wanting to hire AI devs and asking for ML and grad studies will be left behind imho, unless they are making their own ML models. The barrier to entry and AI and what dev will be doing with AI will become really easy. Most ML engineer types are not even real dev, and I don't think they will be able to complete against what's coming in the AI space.

No they don't put you through training lol false! you are on your own. and you have to meet their expectations.
