Even when discussing the tools of war, THIS is an example of a wonderful back-and-forth that provides a springboard for greater communication between the citizens of two FORCED enemy nations. I say forced because the Russians are not our enemy by their choice. They are our designated enemy by the Military Industrial Complex that needed a reason to continue to exist and further the wants of the American Empire. After the fall of the Soviet Union and once Putin took control of Russia, he wanted nothing more than to be an equal trade partner with the USA. But we wouldn't have it. China was still 25 years away from being the next designated threat to our "Freedom and Democracy". One of the great PyOp endeavors pulled on the American public. We are living with the results today.

It's crazy that the story of these two rifles "ended" like this. These rifles would of been in the hands of soldiers in a war that would of ended all of humanity. The end of their story could of been the victor firing one last round into the loser. In a world so destroyed it would never recover. Instead they were examined on a sunny spring day , civilly and with passion for their creation. Each designer giving appreciation and respect for their rivals ingenuity.

I kinda wish they started with the 6mm off the jump instead of being a red herring like he was saying. It would have been cool if the rifle was just slightly larger but not as big as the ar10 and it could handle a larger 6mm cartridge but with more case capacity than something like the 6arc. It could still be able to be loaded with the smaller 223 also if they wanted.

I would have loved to hear anything he had to say about designing another rifle or pistol based on his direct impingement system! Or, how he would have designed a car engine, with all that gun and aircraft experience behind him, putting together a small lightweight engine would have been a snap for this guy!!

One of my best friends father who was a marine in Vietnam and also was crippled for life by the war said out right "That guns a piece of s###!" My grandfather WW2 Armour division vet said the problem with the American military is there 1# priority has always been cost efficiencies! As long as weapons can be mass produced for a reasonable price who cares if there defects or not!🙄

When it comes to clearing a mine fields, the AK works the best. Tie a rope to it, throw it out as far as you can and pull it back so it will snag any wires it comes across. Also people say the russians did all the work in ww2 but that was BS because the Russians were able to roll in because all the factories in Germany were destroyed. Im starting to think (because Russians are not stupid, but actually very far from) they designed the AK to be so durable knowing their factories will be the first line of defense for US so they have to have weapons that last. Ill give to mr K though, the AK47 was designed WAY before the M 16 so they know what they are doing in Russia.

I honestly do feel bad though that Kalashnikov was given the same treatment that stoner did. They really should have given him a better AK and honestly, would have been way cooler if both weapons had full auto. At the end of the day though, I’m just glad that we have this at least, a peaceful conversation and range day between Eugene and Mikhail. It took me a long time to realize what a good firearm is and more importantly, how to treat a bad firearm if there is one. guns should be looked at as piece of history and as a inspiration to create from regardless if they are good or if they have issues and those issues should not be outright ignored. I personally own both a Zastava M70 and a M16A1 reproduction and I love them both, no questions or criticism about it. Both the AR-15 and the AK47/AKM both sit as pieces of history and it doesn’t matter which one is better and this video is a testament of that.
