I first heard this song back in 2012ish when I was moving schools and I was sad to be leaving my friends, but now I'm on my way to owning a company in the construction industry. This song hits a lot more now thinking back to all the friends & family members I've lost over the years. All the good and bad times. Maybe hits a lil more now since I'm approaching unc status 😂 (I'm 24)

Nobody can replace Terry Jacks original version not even if he did it 2 years later. The obvious point was Kurt was a very emotional child with nobody to express how he felt.
