Sew & Go Project Case full tutorial video
Do you like to take a sewing project with you when you go out?
The Sew & Go Project Case is a useful little fold-up caddy. It was designed with different kinds of storage to organise everything you might need when hand sewing on the go. It has:
• pockets for your embroidery thread bobbins
• divided elastic to hold scissors and a seam ripper
• a felt needlecase with two layers so you have space for needles and pins
• a spool holder to store regular sewing thread
• a storage pouch which converts into a tray so you can keep your project organised whenever you put it down
The finished size of the case is 8 ¼” wide x 8” high x 1 ½” deep.
Inside the case is a layer of foam stabiliser. I used Vleiseline Style-Vil, but you could use Pellon Flex Foam, or By Annie’s Soft and Stable.
Other items I use during this video:
• Washi tape. If you don’t have any, you can use painter’s tape, or masking tape.
• Air-erasable fabric marker
• Awl
• Fabric glue stick
• Spray glue
• Hump jumper
All of these items are available to buy online, or from your friendly local sewing shop!
This pattern is designed to be sewn on a domestic sewing machine; I use a Janome DKS 100.

I am glad it was helpful to you 😊.
@@hazelapatterns540 So helpful...and really appreciate the foam download! 🤩
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!

Thank you!
Hi! I purchased the pattern for your glasses case and I did not see a pattern piece for the divider. Is that just something I cut out separately based on measurements?
Hi Victoria, sorry I missed your comment! You do cut the centre divider separately using the measurements. All of my patterns that have a full video tutorial have all of the pattern pieces except straps and binding, but the older ones are a mix of pieces and rectangles that you cut yourself. If you need any more help, please ask, and hopefully I will get notified this time! Hazel
The bag is lovely but I need dimensions
Lovely tutorial, found this just by browsing UA-cam. Have you thought of stitching either end of the handle tabs to stop the dowel from moving? ❤
❤ a wonderfully made bag 😊❤ Thank you for teaching ❤
Thank you! I am glad that you enjoyed it 😊
What is the cost in US dollars?

Just found your site and I love the washi tape tip. Such a great idea!!!!
I find it much easier to see when my work is under the machine foot. And washi tape is much easier to remove than chalk!
Love it !💕
Thank you!!
Great method of sewing bag into the frame. Well done Thankyou!
I do like your patterns and it is such a bonus to have the video to refer to. Clasp purses are a tricky make and so this video makes the whole process easier to follow .
Thank you so much! I love making clasp purses, and am very happy that the video has helped you!
Can’t seem to access the free foam insulation guide. Thank you for the tips.
Hi Sally, here is the link. If you click on the button it should give you the option to download. www.hazelapatterns.co.uk/tutorials-1/how-to-prepare-foam-stabiliser-video If it doesn't work for you, then email me at hazel@hazelapatterns.co.uk and I can email you the file. I am glad you found it helpful!
Thank you for sharing this video it was very informative.
I am glad that it was helpful to you!
Very attractive and useful.
Сумочка-то красивая... Но лучше бы вам сфокусировать камеру не на себе, а на технике пошива. Потому что сколько бы украшений вы на себя ни навешали, фотогеничности это вам совсем не добавило. Извините за прямоту.
Thank you for your comment, I will bear that in mind.
Beautiful bag and your stitching is perfection! Sadly, I'd make a mess of this!!! lol
Looks great!👏
I have found that the fusible pellon doesn't like sticking to wool blend fabric, I was making a bag and had to give up trying to get it to stick, just sewed it while it was half stuck haha!
I hope the seam tape works better for you. It is easy to re-fuse if it does come adrift!
What are the things on your thumbs?🥰💓💓💓
@@janwormuth9739 if you are in the UK, I got mine from Ring Splints by Zomile. She has a Facebook shop and possibly an Etsy one too. She is really helpful! I would have had to stop sewing without my ring splints, so they are definitely worth a try.
Amazing! Love this great tip.
Great tips.
