Great video! Was wondering... would there be enough cfm left over to add a prefilter? Those hepa filters aren't cheap.
Is this or the mini dual stage compatible with W21.8?
Can you put up a company where you can buy this hose in the UK
That is not laminar flow. Turn your fan down. You maybe able to achieve it. Your best bet for beginners even know it costs a bit of money. Buy a enviro mac 10xl 2*4. Itll save you a ton of money and heart ache. Any kind of wood isnt the best choice for a flow hood. That is why all actual flow hoods utilize aluminum or stainless steel. Turbulent flow is worse than still open air.
Thanks for the tutorial! I ordered these items and followed your instructions but there's a red light on my board instead of a blue one and it's not heating the coil. I ordered a second board thinking it was bad but it's having the same issue! I have verified that the power supply is giving 12 volts. Any ideas what the problem could be?
you just touched the plant before putting it in the media and don't tell me "my hand is sterile"
you might want to add a drop of dish soap to the explant along with the bleach to help break the surface tension giving you just that much more success percentage
bro why would you wait a whole month for that little growth on a tank with co2 aqua soil and liquid ferts. that aquasoil is gonna constantly leak in the water and wear out in like a month. That would prolly require water changes all the time and your constantly removing nitrogen for the fish and adding nitrogen for the plants. You know you can just dry start it, add water, amano shrimp, established filter media, and microfauna to have it fully established from week one. you would just need to dry start or replace some of those hi tech plants. More equipment/money doesn't automatically mean better water quality or better plant growth.
threw that bi 🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥
is this safe to use inside a still air box that is cleaned with isopropyl alcohol?
Turbulent flow hood
can i mix cyto and auxin in water and just grow my regular plants there? would it still boost growth?
What is the gpd of your RO system and the clean water/ waste water ratio.
Sick! It took so long to find this! Thanks for taking the time to record this 😎🙏🏾 I still can't find a good reason why fluval uses these crappy black hoses. And they say the ribs don't affect water flow but that can't be true...right?!
Thank You!
Thanks for this!!
Bro you’re awesome , have this set up on my 55 gallon … even changed the in line clarifier lines … thank you everyone who has this filter should watch you
Hey, will we get an updated version of your tissue culture methods video or is everything still the same
For 40years i have always boiled the end of tubing, especially Ehiem and always had ease of fitting tubing and always seal well once cooled. GREAT VIDEO.
Would you say it's worth doing this.
It depends. It’s very time-consuming and very hard not to get contamination to be honest.
Currently have 4 tanks, all 0-1 KH, plants are growing great!
Bro I was struggling with figuring this out!! Thanks so much for the video!!!
What an easy inexpensive way to make an induction heater tool sterilizer! I had to take a small ball peen hammer and tap the ends of the induction coil a little flatter in order to insert them in the slots, but they fit great. Thanks for the great simple tutorial and the parts links. I think I spent around 45 bucks total. I need to find a small container for it now. Any suggestions?
I just left mine how it is haha. But you can probably 3d print something. I noticed some local libraries will 3-d print stuff for people if they don’t have a 3d printer
thanks makes it all understandable
Is there anything special about the chip or anything other than the high heat involved with sterilization? This looks EXACTLY like an RDA coil used to build on Vape decks. Is there any reason I couldn't get the same result from modifying an RDA deck to sterilize by installing a MUCH larger inner diameter Stainless coil and firing it up? My mod can pump out 200 watts, 7 volts. Here's a video for a visual reference if you're not familiar with an RDA ua-cam.com/users/shortsatgwa3lEKNw?si=G82WGXD-Yz6M9CMz
16/22 mm hose fit?
Hope the fan is adjustable that air is turbulent af
Great video, you cant' go simplier than this. One question: How much potassium hydrixode you need to disolve the hormones? Can you use sodium hydroxide too?
They should just sell it with clear tubing
What size are the lily pipes that you use?
Excellent build. The fan can be adjusted to be less turbulent.
Yeah, just turn it down a bit
i love the end it looks like the car aerodynamic wind tunnel test
THANK YOU SO MUSH🍄
Bet you saved about $400

DIY not laminar flow hood build
Two days ago I found out that the inflow pipe on my fluval 306 had a crack and it was badly leaking all over my floor. After some searching, I found your video and instead of paying the $22 for one fluval tube from Amazon, I went to Home Depot and replicated your video. This works. The only problem I have is now I need new inlet and outlet attachments, as the tank edge clips don’t fit the new pipes. Do you have suggestions for the lily pipes?
Solid information make appreciate you taking the time to share!
Clockwise becomes counterclockwise when you turn the 'I' connector around.
awesome!
Looks kinda turbulent to me..
by your logic even 2,000 laminar flow hoood is turbulent too lol..
It looks a bit too strong? Is it not?
I said this because I hate telling people they’re wrong. This is definitely too strong. Your lighters flame should be around 45’ and should not flicker and jump at all.
@MushMaam hello yes it was too strong , I’ve since added a pre filter and blower control knob :)
Sweet!!! Glad you made it work! 🎉
I don't think you hate it@@Propqueen
So cool to see the plants releasing oxygen
How d'you see that?
@@maggyf3932 when the lights are on you can see small bubbles forming on the carpeting plants.
@@andresrincon752 Oh yeah! Its amazing!
What if I use the uv clarifier? How do I adjust?
Sorry to be a nitpicker but what is 20% bleach??? Are you saying 1 part Clorox brand bleach for 4 parts water? That would be roughly 1.5% sodium hypochlorite which would melt any plant in about 2 minutes... how are you able to do this for 10 minutes? The plants should be totally white.
Hello 10% bleach is more widely used so yes 1 ml of bleach per 9 ml water. Some plants are more fragile than others when it comes to bleach
Why make a still air box if it's not sealed? Can't contaminants just float in through the holes? And you really shouldn't rely on sterilizing your hands as they're porous. You should use gloves if you're not gonna keep the box sealed 1000% of the time.
Thank you! It's truly the best tutorial..
why does it have to be that complicated? Can't I just make a system that fertilized water flows bellow the plant to get the nutritiens directly from water? Like a pump running water bellow the plant which is either in a spunge or on a wire mesh? Mainly I am planning to grow carpet plants. So, it is a challenge to grow like this but is it possible?
