I think this makes a lot more sense as base 4 rather than base 8 so I'd say all these time signatures are slightly off on that account. But also the bars of "9" I think are better represented as a 6/4 + 3/4. The reason being twofold: One is that they function essentially act as a bar and a half compound triple time (6 + 3) and two, it gives you a better insight into what's actually going on in the piece. Which is to say that all the time signature changes are really just the result of alternating duple and triple valued rhythmic cells. This is a very common rhythmic technique in a lot of non-Western music and in some Western music as well. And 4 times out of 5, it's the source of "Whoa, look at all these crazy time signature change!" videos. It's not as complicated or random as it seems. You just have to disavow yourself of the Western stereotype that (full) measures should all be the same duration.
