It all depends upon the value of the dollar. As the dollar continues to degrade in value, the value of holding either Copper pennies or Cupronickel nickels will ultimately go up. I'd rather have my wealth tied up on a commodity than to have it tied up in U.S. dollars.

Not sure what happened to my other comment? It was something like this. 4lbs 6oz of copper is phenomenal. Plus 20 wheats, is a successful 1st "box" hunt. An Indian in box 2 & 2 KG VI's. Plus the blazer wheaty. The '98 is definitely different than Wexler's example. Possibly a later die state? The 2011 is odd. Almost like 2 varieties in one? Great hunt.

What would be most interesting is a math analysis of BUYING copper pennies from ebay (at about 2.5x face value) compared to buying nickels from bank (1x face value). This is a more practical example since I won't have the time to buy pennies from bank and sort. I suspect you're answer would be than neither is a good investment, but one day it will be if I want to BUY now and store until value goes up. WHICH ONE SHOULD I BUY NOW for future copper value?

This is NOT a jab against you. But people think about it. Why would anyone sell you grab bags coins and lose money? It just doesn't add up. It's like selling a 2019 W quarter on ebay for 10 cents!
