Its 2024 and I do know there has been a new documentary released regarding Venus. So, her brothers have all said that when she was murdered the police didn't call them. They said they didn't have a problem with her in any way and she was still in contact and came around. As for the murder, turns out there was one suspect who was a janitor. Another trans woman contacted Angie and told her about a janitor who would proposition the trans girls and if he was turned down, he would get violent mainly attempting to strangle them. When he interviewed by police he initially lied and said he was out of town but turns out he was actually in town the day of her murder. He then went on to claim he was picking up Christmas gifts for his son. They then took his word for it and didn't pursue any further. When her body was examined, she did have skin under her nails however they weren't successful at that time in being able to ID anyone. I'm not sure if they still have that and if they could still test it but there's that. The investigating officer as well as the man analyzing the DNA I believe have both since retired however both did say they felt enough wasn't done and this case could've have been solved.

The dude she killed was also a convicted rapist so..still queen lol

I saw the Plasmatics in a small club in South Minneapolis and even got her autograph. I saw her on her solo tour. I was really upset and sad when I heard she died.

I did not know Venus that well but I did use to see here around and I know exactly where the hotel she was murdered at and not all of the trans women from the movie I did know quite a few of them from when I use to hung out at the club on 42 second street club Sally’s Hideaway has been closed for some years now sad to say but all of them the movie are no longer with us

Wendy and I share a birthday and like her people have to lean in to hear me speak. Wendy was much more than just a rock star she was honest and a pure non-conformist. Although I wish she were still around I respect her decision to fly away in her own time. We still LOVE you Wendy... the 5/28 crew LAMF!

Discovered the Plasmatics back in 1980 or so. my stepmom ripped down a poster I had of a topless Wendy licking a shot gun. I got home from school and it was ripped to shreds.

I remember seeing her in the veggie area of Big Y supermarket in Storrs, CT. That was in '98. I spoke with her once briefly. I didn't know then what a performer she was.
