Undoubtedly yes. Performance wise it’s the perfect BnZ fighter with decent turn fighting capabilities. The armament is a bit underwhelming at times, but overall still reliable as the 50cals are easier to aim. You get into trouble? Down to ground level and fly straight! Could be a whole BR higher and still hold up well.

@@alex_black_9819 Couldn’t agree more. Got 9 kills in 20 minutes with it yesterday. Poor La5FNs…. This and the J2M2 are performance beasts for the BR

I have Zoom-Axis and head movement (forwards -backwards) both assigned to a button combination and zoom out as far as possible before takeoff.

@@alex_black_9819 vielen dank :) i've been testing different ammo belts for 7.92, 13mm, 20mm and 30mm. This setup of 13mm stealth and night 30mm works nicely (if i manage to hit something haha)

It starts sinking slowly after hitting two compartments. The third hit usually ends it immediately.

Probably a problem with the stability of the glass panels at high speed and that the upper section had to be big enough, so that the pilot wouldn’t lose his legs when he triggered the ejection seat. This plane was huge in real life and so were the frontal glass panels. Visibility was probably not such a big problem like in the game. The size of the cockpit and the large distance between the pilot and the frontal glass panels together with the slight fish-eye-effect in war thunder lead to a distorted perspective.

I don’t know the exact amount, but it’s definitely not worth the effort if you are focused on grinding. The plane kills probably gave me more RPs.

I don’t have anything unlocked in the russian tech tree yet, so it would probably take a while to get to it. The best mode to practice aiming in general is the mission editor of the test flight mode. You can create missions with something absurd like 30 enemy biplanes and use them as practice targets. Give it a try!

This game mode is simulator battle. You can join the lobbys manually, if there is at least one open for the BR-bracket or open a new one yourself.

Also, if you want to join a realistic battle, make sure your at a decently high battle rating, and if your on console, turn on cross play.

But yes, would be cool if you could spawn in front of the hangars and had to roll to the takeoff lane. Makes it a lot more immersive :)
