Whoah!! Tommy Kicks ass as a host!
great to meet you here. Looking forward to this season. We have a great team.
BRING BACK PHIL!!!
Great start for Canada! ❤🤍🍁🤍❤
It won't be an easy road but I am sure this line up will perform this season!
Where can I get one of those sweet new northstar hats?
Our merch will be available early 2025
Go canada 🇨🇦 ❤️
Edging across the line🎉
Bring back Phil Robertson!!!!
Go Galen!
Yeah @wecanfoil!
Awesome!
Putting in the work is the best way to end up on a F50!
Welcome to the team Giles 🙌
Great to meet you, Giles! Welcome `home` and enjoy your time on Spirit! We hope Phil is still welcome around the team since he is an honourary Canadian now. He and his pet Beaver, that is!
Great tour. What an amazing boat.
Congratulations and looking forwards to the next season!!
No longer Canada SailGP Team? The country name is replaced with a name that is inspired by the Canadian spirit. What inspires the Canadian spirit in me is having Canada in the team’s name. If that is a compromise we have to make to keep the team then I am for it. I am just so glad we still have a SailGP team we can call Canadian even if Canada is not in the name. Good luck NorthStars! Go NorthStars Go! I still like Go Canada Go better.
I’m very glad to see the future of Team Canada is more secure and certainly like the new branding, but I am sad to see Phil Robertson replaced. He brought a lot of energy and wit to the team and is likely a major part of Canada’s popularity in the league. A lot of pressure now on Giles Scott to deliver!
Don’t get me wrong, I do like the new rebranding team name but I can help think back to the 1970s when Northstars were a cheap brand of running shoes (Canadian company I think ) that your parents bought you when they didn’t want to splurge on adidas or pumas … most folks obviously won’t remember them but unfortunately I do. Either way. Will be rooting for this team big time and just extremely happy Canada is still part of this wonderful and entertaining series!
❤🔥
So you're not team Canada anymore?
Still team Canada, but the new name is NorthStar, just like the black foils are team New-Zealand.
I think Johnny Depp should do another movie using the Pirates of the Caribbean theme but introducing through a time warp the sale GP catamarans. I’m trying to explain to the sailors/pirates of yesteryear about GPS, satellites, Internet texting, let alone the techniques of foiling. And then get the helmsmen from Johnny Depp’s pirate ship onto the Helm of an American 50 yacht doing 60 kn I picture the helmsman with his hair streaming back with a look of absolute glee on his face I’m thinking of crinkly hair something similar to the hair on the face on the Starbucks coffee cup, but a little bit shorter. Maybe a character likeDoc in back to the future
One design - you could be racing bath tubs for all it mattered
Can't wait for the racing to start again.m, with the t foils. It'll be lit!
Oh yeah 🤠
What is so innovative about them
Amazing! 🎉🎉🎉 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🎉🎉🎉
Bravo Team Canada. Good luck in Season 5. That's sounds like some shake-up.;^)
Amazing video! Thank You so much!
❤❤❤🎉🎉q😮😮😮
I´m an enthusiastic wingfoiler and through Luna Rossa and Robins Round 24 finally ended up sneaking into SailGP - thanks a lot for your tour, now I´ve got a clear view where the technology differences are between AC 75 and your class !
Brilliant presentation, big thank you!!!!
Nice 0:16
I can't wait to see this team again next season! Let's go Canada!!!
As a Canadian Sea Cadet we sail 1 to 2 times a year it is the best experience you can get I recommend it (we use Echoes and 420s)
It’s simple no corporate money in Halifax, to pick up the the event let alone sponsor the Cdn team….same reason they couldn’t make a pro hockey team work….nice city great to visit but no money.
Not sure how your going to survive most Cdn’s don’t have sailing on there radar and neither does corporate.
Amazing!
Awesome
That was awesome 🇨🇦, I’m currently in Thailand halfway done a world circumnavigation, nothing better ❤️
Incredible documentary! I look forward to seeing more Canadian content in the future! Next, “Behind the Mask: a Justine Beaver story”
that would be one hell of a story ;)
Kiwi and Canuck… with that combination you can’t go wrong! Brilliant documentary.
it's a winning combo!
Wow. So proud of you guys and girls.
☺️ thank you
Best SailGP event but you aren't coming back next year??
We are working hard to bring it back in 2026!
@canadasailgpteam love you guys but sailgp fucked up bad
Well sh_t, if that doesn't tug on the feelings and make any Canadian stand a little taller. Well done!!!
it's the meaning behind our moto "We Can Inspire" :)
Incredible recap of the Canada SailGP Team's first year in SailGP - Producer and Director / Hubert Pelletier did an amazing job capturing the highs and lows of Season 3 - merci !!
Weird, but I am 25% of the way into the film and have not yet heard mention of Fred (or Chantal) Pye, who created and funded this team. Huh?? I love the team, love the sailors and will never forget sharing pizza and beer with them after the first race in Bermuda. But, really…this omission is unconscionable…as well as insulting and unethical. Shame on you.
Pretty sure they had their reasons mate. Not an unconscious omission.
I agree with you, but that makes it less excusable. Whoever “they“ were in this case, have rewritten history. Whatever their reasons, that’s not nice.
Awesome film and team!! Go Canada Go!!
Canada has the most passionate sailing fans. This is prime territory for a fan-owned sailing team, if I ever saw one! Great doc too. Thanks!
