Are you using a LOW HEAT glue gun? IHAVE blisters trying to fold over fleece…lol
You can buy silicone finger protectors on Amazon or most craft stores. This will help protect your fingers from getting burned.

Why do you put rice in freezer for 3days?
Hi love your crafts! Question what size in mm are the little eye buttons? I will be making about 35 of these for my husband. He gives them out at work. I want to get a jump on them this year. Thanks so much!
Hi- That’s a great idea to get get a head-start. The eye buttons are 11mm. Have so much fun creating! Thank you so much for the kind comment and watching!
Make sure you warn crafters that rice , over time, will get bugs...to avoid this, freeze rice in the freezer for a week or so. This holds true for flour, sugar, beans, etc So, prior to starting to make a cute gnome...there's so many different types to make so you can personalize your project, do the freezing way to not get bugs over time. You will be thankful you took the time to freeze these items because those bugs can, unfortunately appear at anytime! You wouldn't want to.go through all the effort and creations to discover there are those bugs inside your newly created gnomes Especially if it is a gift, you don't want bugs appearing and avoid the embarrassment to you if these nasty bugs are noticed. That's a nightmare you can avoid just by freezing these items.For a week at least.
I use a funnel to fill the sock with rice.

TIP : You can also use the bottom and top of a colorful sock for the scarf and hat, that way it will not be too difficult to make. :D
Can you use cotton fluff for your Christmas Gnome or beads or something heavy to weigh the sock down?
Yes, you could even use small fish tank rocks to weigh it down.
Could you use sand for them ?? I no rices or cotton can
If you use sand I would it it in a plastic bag first. That way it wouldn’t seep through the sock. Thanks for watching!

I really need to give you my (belated) thanks for making this video. I stumbled upon it 3 years ago and my other half and I have since made it a tradition to make a new gnome each, every year. He looks forward to it so much that he will spend weeks searching for different coloured socks and working out a new "theme" for the years gnome.

You could use small fish tank rocks or Polly pellets. I hope you enjoy making them.
