I'm glad they worked out for you cuz auto tech engineering fucked me over, they send me a damn alternator that didn't fit a lot of people had that problem

You think 3 U8s would be louder deeper then 2 x8 v4s? I can run 3 U8s properly since they can play in a smaller box or i have room to run 2 x8 v4s. I know id have more cone area with 3 U8s but would that over come the xmax and motor force of the x8s? I heard the x8s play lows better but the fs between the 2 isnt that far off
@@johnnypiper1717 I don’t have any experience with the U series subs but any sub in a properly built box will bang. Just make sure whatever you plan to run you can give them the proper airspace.
@biggfredh38 yeah that's what my box builder told me I had space for since those u8 require little bit smaller volume I could fit 3 of those an jus 2 x8 v4s

Still going strong! Taramps are great as long as your voltage is good and your line voltage to it isn’t very high.

Does material matter when building a sealed or ported box?
I prefer birch plywood but heard some great sounding boxes made with different wood. Acoustically MDF is great the downfall is it’s very heavy. The best advice I can give is as long as the box is built to the specs of your subs and is solid it’ll sound great! I hope that answers your question.

No. This setup was at 2 ohms on a Taramps Smart 5k.

I got 2 of the 2.5 12’s and love them but lately been seeing a bunch of people selling there ampere audio gear am I missing something & demo soon I hope
The Ampere’s are some great subs. I got them on a trade which is why I had them. I’ve always run Sundown so went back to them.
Do they sound better? The 4th single Amphere is banging in the Caddy
Just pulled them today. Will start installing the Sundowns tomorrow.
What is the spl?
We never tested the SPL on this cause it was meant to be a musical box and customer not into numbers.

The 6.5’s I have in this video is the PRV slim 6.5’s and yes they would work in the factory location (with adapters).
