Tour of the Ilfracombe, North Devon coast by boat
We took a boat tour on the Ilfracombe Princess of the coastline of North Devon from Ilfracombe harbour to Combe Martin and back visiting some of the coves and learning about the history of the area, the smugglers, the locals sights and some of the geographic features.
A great time, just around an hour's tour compressed into this video.

60 is the national limit on such roads. But only an idiot would do more than 25 on that one. We rely on common sense not hundreds of road signs.

Well, I’ve taken the plunge and just taken delivery of one of the WiFi routers 😊 Will be setting it up next week at the caravan so I’ll let you know how we get on. I also got a Smarty SIM card 😊
Hope you love it as much as we do ours. We're away again at the moment using it. 1p mobile SIM this time, just swap as signal at different sites requires.
Hello sir. May I ask a question. After upgrading to lithium how long have you been able to stay off grid? Wondering how much power your caravan uses?
With the solar, we've managed over a week and been fully charged most days with charging my gadgets and a hour or so of TV and all day internet in the summer.
@@IntrepidIresons That's awesome. My van had bad damp so had to go and I'm in the process of replacing it. Along the way I have picked up an Eco-flow delta 2000 and extra battery which I hoping to integrate ..... although I was going down the camper van route I have since changed my mind and am going back to the caravan...anyhow... have to figure out how to integrate the eco-flow into the new (second hand) van. Thank you for your reply.

What sim cards are best to use please? Also what gb or MB do you recommend?
It depends on where you are going and your usage. In the UK I take smarty (three network) and 1p (EE network) PAYG. I then activate whichever one is the best signal in the area we go. Between £15/20 for the month depending on which one I need for the site I'm on. That's for unlimited. You may find you use less if you don't use much video etc.
And thay earth is on the leisure battery
Yes the earth's are already connected to the leisure battery so just connecting to the leisure battery and the solar to the same on the dcdc also works.

Please will you just explain with your dcdc charger you had the power from the 15a fuse in the fuse box and the earth lead from the leisure battery so both earth's will go to the leisure battery thank you
The renogy DCDC30 is a shared earth. One earth/ negative for all sources, solar battery, car.
Thank you for the helpful video! internet connectivity while on the road is a big problem i've have to face. I needed something with fast internet at an affordable price and ended up choosing HomeFi. It was a great choice for me because I can easily work from home and use all my streaming services with no issues.

Nice work! I can't decide if I am jealous of your gadgets and neat electronics or if I would be too afraid to sleep because of a possible electronic burn down disaster :). You work very tidy so I guess it's ok but still a lot going on. And what about the chinese kuwfi router? do you trust it? privacy wise?
oh and what about the Faraday effect? the Kuwfi is outside for maximum reach but when you are inside during the night you are in the cage of faraday right?

No changes to the car at all, just use that splitter to move the feed to the dcdc in the van and dont add the fuse which would pass power through the original route. Look out for the 2nd video in my channel on the chargers
With your dc2dc charger you have the power from the fuse box but have you taken the negative of the battery itself

Yes, pipe is the same it's so you can then screw in the adapter as they have different ends.

Just use your phone as a hotspot. 3 or 4G works perfectly. Cost probably about £5 a month more on your phone.
Quite often find that the caravan blocks a lot of signal or you're in a poor signal area. These outside, up high with the big aerials do help in those situations. Also means when I wonder off somewhere the rest of the family don't lose internet
One thing missing on here. It doesn't work!!! Place that tracker away from your phone and it wont be detected by other Android devices on FMD. This is because FMD is not ready yet and everyone is now complaining that these things are just local Bluetooth trackers right now like a tile. I have two in the UK and can confirm this to be the case, at least here and from what i see in all the forums the same in the US and Canada. I'm happy to wait for FMD (Find My Device) network to kick in but wish i knew this before purchasing one. This is something Chipolo and other UA-cam videos don't seem to be talking about for some reason
What dc -dc charger did you use and how did you connect it in your caravan?
It's a renogy dcdc30. If you look at my ac charger upgrade video you'll see it and the wiring.

This is a supplier issue not amazon, amazon dont package up your item the supplier does.
It was supposed to have two items in it from different sources. One managed by Amazon. Neither item was in the box.......

Yes, I would not run this setup without a battery. Elddis/ Xplore recommend always having a battery anway. Consensus is it helps deal with any sudden requests for power and increases the life of the power unit... Supposedly.
@@IntrepidIresons having a battery i agree however how yours is now set up all 12v goes through battery so that and charger is in constant use. You should have wired where existing charger was wired then on ehu battery and charger are bypassed and 12v works as designed
I stand to be corrected but doesn't the AC PSU always top up the battery. The battery, if you have one, is always live.in the circuit. Right now, if my solar is on and providing enough the shunt shows no power draw from the battery and no AC being used. If not enough power from the solar then the shunt shows no power draw from the battery with power coming from the AC directly.
Your 240v goes to the consumer unit and out to charger if you have no battery all 12v and 240v works . You appear to have not wired direct back to battery through the designed system. It might not do any harm but normally you put new charger in same as old . Its what installers do
I ran my caravan on hook-up for years without a battery. No issues whatsoever.
