Hi Everyone!
Welcome to where I'll be discussing all things video games and maybe even other related entertainment.
I've been gaming pretty much my whole life and the single itch I've always had to scratch is discussing my thoughts and opinions about the games I play and though I've had friends and family to share that with, I've never really had a community to call home. This is my effort to make that a reality. The hope is to build a space I can express my thoughts about what I'm playing with a like minded crowd, whether that be 1 person or 100.
My channels initial dedication is earning Platinum trophies or 100% of the related achievements of those games and discussing them in a review format. Of course, that won't happen all the time but it is generally how I like to 'complete' games so to speak. Otherwise I hope to be doing some discussion videos!
Overall, I hope the videos I post here become a happy past time for you to enjoy as I'm sure they will for me in making them!

Xbox - The Road to Recovery
The dust has begun to settle since the knockout show that Xbox managed to produce as part of Summer Games Fest and I wanted to spend some time to reflect on what that means for me as a player. As someone that shifted to mainly playing within the PlayStation and sometimes PC platforms since the release of the PS4 it’s been a while since I’ve paid too much attention to Xbox given the games released exclusive to the platform have never really held my interest all that well in comparison to what HAS from the PlayStation brand since the release of the Xbox One.
That being said, I am of an era of gamers that saw a dramatic shift of players into the Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE Service that was plentiful of online experiences and king of action shooters back in the day. The gaming landscape has changed quite a bit since then and although what Xbox have shown doesn’t have me rushing out to buy a console, it does have me excited about Xbox games again.
I’ll preface the video in that I really do not care for the ‘console wars’ as I honestly believe everyone should play where they like and what they like. This video is entirely aimed at voicing my opinion on why Xbox is doing to appeal to ME personally more than they have in years gone by.
Thank you for taking the time to watch the video.
Please consider subscribing as I'll be doing more discussions and reviews of a similar nature in the future. Any feedback in the comments is happily received.
Hope to see you again, real soon!

Is Trophy and Achievement Support Important?
Переглядів 16314 днів тому
Upon seeing the discussion online for Shadow of the Erdtree it became apparent to me that there is no trophy or achievement support for this DLC on any platform. For now, that has swayed me enough NOT to play the DLC given that I was undecided anyway just based on time commitments for other games I’d like to play, I now feel part of the experience in how I like to ‘finish’ games is one more rea...
Dead Space (2023) - Review - The Horror Game You Shouldn't Have Skipped

EA have gotten a lot of things wrong from the players’ perspective with their business model and approach to the gaming industry over the years where their reputation has suffered, though sadly, that hasn’t been reflective of their profits. Amongst all of the egregious practices around monetization and advertising, there are some gems in their catalogue that should be praised. Releases that hav...
Astro Bot - PlayStation's NEW Platformer Mascot?

Why I think YOU should be excited for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Metal Gear Solid - just saying the words triggers a sense of nostalgia and joy that originates from my early adoption into the gaming world. Since the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Delta, I’ve seen little support in favor of its existence and not many voices as to why this could be a good thing for Metal Gear. That got me thinking about all those people that never played Metal Gear Solid and...
Evil West - Review - Fun, But Beware of Co-Op

Evil West is a third person action-adventure title made by Polish studio ‘Flying Wild Hog’ of fame from their reboot series of Shadow Warrior. Though I haven’t before played any of the games this studio has made, its immediately obvious to me that this game wears its influence of titles like the recent God of War games on its sleeve and although that may seem like a recipe for success, the deli...

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - Review - The Same Old Ubisoft Formula?
interesting, been seeing a lot of dead space reviews on the remake lately. clearly on peoples minds. i loveddd playing it. only 100 hours but i was really hoping theyd remake the 2nd one...apparently it's on ice...just sad. EA kills everything. being in an interconnected ship was super fun but good lord the map was horrible. tho idk how they couldve improved it. yeah RE when you had to fight the blind dude was peak RE. Only criticism...people have reviewed the hell outta this game. we dont really need a summary or any rundown at all. I'd rather hear what you thought about the gameplay or what youd have improved. Tho it's sad you didnt like the story. Like dang man. Fixing the ship and escaping, what else are you gonna be motivated by though. seems a bit unfair.
@@finallyanime Yeah I think Dead Space 2 (Remake Series) for the moment isn’t going to be any time soon and I hope that it does get a chance because I think the gameplay and world building is top tier stuff. Agree with the map being dreadful though haha I take the criticism on board and to be honest it’s one I had of myself when I was putting this video together. I actually re-wrote the whole script for this because I realised I kinda JUST explained the game and not too many of my thoughts on it so I tried to adjust what I had into something more inclusive of my actual opinion. I did choose the first few games I did videos on to somewhat clear out my own back log and get a grip on editing and writing a bit more so I do treat them as a first attempt at all of this. As for my thoughts on the story, I guess it’s mostly the overall delivery that didn’t really have me hooked as I mentioned. I’d worked out the Marker plot twist quite a while before it was actually revealed (not entirely but enough) for it to just carry a lot less weight when it happened. I didn’t hate it at all but I just didn’t find it as gripping as I’d liked. Thanks for the comment and appreciate the time!
I think the sense of accomplishment that comes with getting achievements/trophies has got to a point where it is half the fun, it can change how you approach games and push you into different directions and side quests that you wouldn’t have done otherwise. I think that not putting achievements in a DLC or something similar is a bit of a waste as it’s pretty much an open goal in terms of adding a whole other kind of player base and getting people to interact with the game in a way that you’d like them to, plus people just like to have a little record of what they’ve done in front of them to make it feel more satisfying. Great video ☺️
Been thinking about trying this out since it came to game pass, think I might have to now! Great video 👏🏻
Dead Space is better than Resi Evil there I said it
Its a bold claim! I can see how some would prefer it in aspects but I do have a soft spot for the Resident Evil series and its longevity shows the reverence for the franchise amongst the gaming community.
tell ‘em
I'd say this game is worth buying on sale
@@kieranczyzniejewski2178 Agreed
always respected people who grinded for achievements/gamerscore on the xbox growing up, always creates great content to watch to this day aswell.
This video made me remember us trying to get the "Feet Firmly Planted" achievement in Halo and failing over and over again 😂
Another banger of a video! I find myself conflicted sometimes about trophy hunting; I really REALLY love going for a Platinum recently, but if a game makes me replay it multiple times to get slightly different endings etc. it frustrates me - Detroit Become Human was a recent example for me The point about competition was a good one too, and trophies/achievements can definitely enhance the experience of certain games where collecting them all can be something you can compete with too.
God I hope they remake the original metal gear and metal gear 2 then metal gear solid then guns of the patriots they litterally could take all my money!!! Metal gear solid remake with fox engine graphics would be unreal and no I mean the ps1 version NOT twin snakes lol

@@x.a.n.a6377 I didn’t forget so much as I just didn’t think him AS popular as the ones I mentioned. I probably thought of Gex earlier than I did Sly personally. It is all relative to the individual though, appreciate the Sly shoutout!
@@Liquidizer_96 ye, sly is extremely popular it's weird cause he has gone completely under the radar.
@@x.a.n.a6377 I don’t think I ever actually played any of them myself but I am aware of them as some of my close friends have fond memories of them 😊

I just got the platinum for this 2 days ago. i love that playroom is like a playable museum for PlayStation. goin through the history of PlayStation since 1994.
I never been this excited about a new game coming for years And i know it's going to be amazing ❤.
Super Mario is and will always be an incredible platformer. It was the first of its kind, but that is not why the series of games holds the crown for best platformer. The controls are responsive and rock solid. In a genre of gaming that is based around “platforming” and traversing… saying the controls are important is an understatement. The LittleBigPlanet game series was very creative and fun but the controls were clunky and floaty, making it slightly a chore. Astro bot on the other hand is very responsive and smooth, very close if not the same to Super Mario. And it also shares the same craftmanship as Super Mario which is a very Japanese game studio skill. Astro bot looks incredible and will probably become a well deserved series. PS: Sackboy: A big adventure is a solid platformer. The controls are more defined than its LBP origins. If you haven’t given it a go, it’s great.
Agreed, good points to make.
PlayStation has a habit of creating mascots or using Third-Party characters that define that specific generation. For PS1 it was Crash, Spyro, Snake, Lara Croft, Sir Daniel Fortesque, PaRappa, Spike, Dart & Sweet Tooth. For PS2 it was Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, Wander, Ico & Dante For PS3 it was Nathan Drake, Cole McGrath, Joel & Ellie & Sackboy For PS4 it was Kratos, Aloy, Jin Sakai, The Hunter, Knack & Kat And yes I know Kratos originated in the PS2 days but the PS4 is where Kratos was at the peak of his popularity.
Astro Bot was the first game I played on my PS5, and it was also my first PS5 platinum.
Crash doesn’t feel good 💀
Crash bandicoot was a Playstation icon but was never owed by sony to become an official mascot.
This is correct. I don't think I stated that Crash Bandicoot was owned by PlayStation or Sony in the video but apologies if I did. The character belonged to Universal Interactive (along with Spyro funny enough). Thanks for highlighting anyway.
@Liquidizer_96 You did not, I just wanted to clarify because a lot of people think he was and that sony sold him to activision for xbox to then purchase.
Asrtro is goated
preordered the new game the second i could
I dont subscribe to this notion that "the newest entry in a series is the best one for newcomers." In fact, I think I despise it. In nearly every scenario, the most recent game in a series is the furthest from the series' original vision and/or design. If a prominent series is getting a new installment, and fans are excited, it is evidence of the work put in by the previous installments. It is basic logic to start with the first game in a numbered series, or (on a case-by-case basis) at least the first game in a series to share an identical gameplay loop, before jumping into the newest product. Metal Gear Solid is one of the most famous video game franchises of all time, and to this day people are still being introduced to the series and falling in love with it. If they have to be coaxed into a series by the new, shiny, and ruthlessly uninspired product, without any agency to seek the rest of it out for themself first, then perhaps they aren't mature enough to engage with that piece of media yet. This certainly does not solely apply to Metal Gear, as nor do the rest of my points. Are gamers so close-minded now that they can't go back and play a game that's older than them? It used to be that when a new game of a multi-work series released, people would go back to play the older games in order either immediately after, or before in order to prepare. Nowadays, people will play the newest game, and then passively wait for the next one. This is how franchises become diluted with simpletons and casuals who don't understand a series' roots and treat games, as well as all media, as simple escapism or fads. The only Witcher game they've played is Witcher III, the only Monster Hunter game they've played is World, the only Souls game they've played is Elden Ring. tl;dr Watch the other Mad Max films before seeing Furiosa in cinemas; Delta is a Metal Gear game for people who only use their $1000 PC to play Fortnite and Call of Duty. I didn't realise how intense I was about this subject until I started writing. This comment is way longer than I anticipated. I realise I might have come across as a colossal prick, but I really don't think my views are elitist, or even that unpopular. I sound so angry. I'm really not. Just so disappointed. Not at you, the uploader, obviously. But, this landscape. Good work on the video. Second Edit: This consumerist culture has brainwashed people into thinking that franchises need to be always active - always "producing." I would rather see my favourite franchises bite the dust on their own terms than become puppeteered by executives and director's boards. *Especially if they work for Konami.* There is such a staggering amount of media in the world that we will never experience or appreciate at this rate. If we keep going for what's familiar, then it will lose its taste. Don't beat a dead horse, ride a new one.
That’s a hell a comment! I take all of your points though and I think you have a good argument for what you’re trying to say. I don’t really disagree with you in all honesty and in a perfect world I would hope that everyone who did want to play this series would start with the original entires (right back to the Metal Gear days). Saying that though, I’ve had quite a few conversations recently with people about the franchise, especially to those I know personally that have also watched this video. It seems from their perspective that they’ve ’missed the boat’ somewhat on the original games and are happy to give this remake a chance based on the merits they’re aware of from the franchise as a whole. You’re likely accurate in that consumerist society we will live is to blame for that kind of thought process where the way we consume media is concerned. I suppose this video is just me trying more to embrace that’s the world we live in and to strike up a conversation more about Metal Gear as a whole. I know too many people that call themselves gamers and have never fully played a Metal Gear game so I hope that maybe a reinvention of the gameplay aspects could be more palatable to them as I think genuinely think the narrative and experience of Metal Gear is one of the best there is. I feel your sentiment though, thanks for watching and dropping your opinion here in any case!

Man, i'm so not excited for this game. Why should I be when the OG MGS3 is already available in modern hardware and hasn't aged a single bit, not in graphics department, not in sound department, not in storytelling, not in graphics. Why should I be excited for what i know will be a worse version of a groundbreaking game? More importantly, was it needed to make a remake of MSG3? I get it for PS2 era games, but c'mon. SH2, RE4, all remakes that didn't need to exist
That’s a fair opinion, though I would say if you’re comparing to other series’… The RE4 Remake has been the fastest selling game in the series at 7 million copies sold as of March 2024 so the hunger for remakes is obvious amongst the communities I’d say. If something made money, the general idea is to capitalise on that trend. Keeping Metal Gear relevant is the more important part of this for me. You’ll get a whole new generation of players that never played (nor will) the originals like us and that’s the part I’m most celebrating out of this.
This video is so well made! Looking forward to more reviews! I dont care at all about ghost runner tbh, yet I watched thruout.

When i found out that MGS Delta is going to be completely unchanged i was both happy and sad. Only sad because i have played through mgs 3 more than i can count. It is definitely one of the best games ive ever played though, and im actually envious of the people who havent played it before. Since they will experience it on unreal engine 5 lol

It’s also technically easier to upgrade the 3rd game (as it’s one of the more recent ones) than something that was released in the 90s that will need a lot more work and effort to update the gameplay. If this one is a success, they’ll throw money at the development of the earlier titles.
Agreed, I was trying to think how the gameplay on MGS1 and 2 would translate to that over the shoulder view and I guess it would need some significant overhauls in levels design etc to make it work.
Thank you for making this video! I want to get into playing these games but confused where to begin(and since I’m not able to play the older games either)
My pleasure ☺️ The remake should hopefully serve you wonderfully but do consider playing the originals via the Master Collection: Volume 1 which are on pretty much every platform. All of them are great games, MGS2 being my personal favourite!
metal gear franchises rises!
i won't, can't trust konami....yet
This game need more attention. This is my favourite franchise and I want as many people as possible to experience this franchise
Fully with you on that! I hope to be doing more videos on in the future to try to get the message across even more 😊 Though I’ll only do them when I feel I have enough to say with the information we have. Likely to be release at this point.

great video, will definitely look into your upcoming work!!
I’m excited as a life long mgs fan. Just like with re4 remake, I’m going to get to play one of my favorite games for the first time again.
I only recently played MGS3 for the first time via the PS3 Legacy Collection a few months ago, and had a blast with it. Before then I had only ever played 4 & 5 on release, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle remaking the entire series for the modern age. Do you think the 1 & 2 remakes, should they ever do them, will be called Alpha & Beta?
You should absolutely get your hands on the Master Collection and play 1 and 2. MGS2 is my personal favourite as it’s basically the game I grew up with! As for the name, like I said in the video I think they’ll go with Delta moving forward should they opt for more remakes.
Watching this made my snake solid x
Pinned.
I get a feeling that mgs 3 delta remake might be amazing. Sure it’s Konami but the gameplay looks well made.
Metal gear solid 1 was one of the first games I’ve ever played along side majoras mask ocarina of time duke nukem and twisted metal. These games have forever shaped the taste I have for video games today and will always hold a special spot in my heart. Such a shame what they did with kojima but I’m greatful we are atleast getting a remake of 3. Let’s hope they do the rest and finally port metal gear solid 4 to the rest of the consoles.
Honestly - if nothing else beyond Delta happens other than a port of MGS4. I’d consider that a win itself.
@@Liquidizer_96yea I’ll take what I can get at this point 😂 the way they disrespect the legacy of metal gear solid 4 is beyond me smh. Hopefully the November rumors are true tho because that would be a full circle birthday gift for me haha
@@ogmudclone3560 I’ve always thought the same, I’ve only ever had the chance to play through MGS4 a couple times. I’ve probably watched it via UA-cam through the years more than that which is a travesty in itself!
@@Liquidizer_96same here, I played mfs 4 through like 2 times when it first came out on my uncles ps3 and that was on launch. have been craving a play through for some time now and it seems like there’s no light at the end of this tunnel yet 😂
@@ogmudclone3560 Haha similar for me. I had only an Xbox 360 back then so ended up borrowing my sisters boyfriend’s at the time PS3 and binge played it twice through before reluctantly handing it back LOL
I'm hyped! Been a fan since MGS1 demo
Imagine a MGS1 remake on current gen!
@@Brendo2386I’ve considered that possibility myself and I have wondered should this remake be successful what do they do next… If it was chronological order in aim the next likely entry would probably be Peace Walker / MGSV which would seem a bit strange considering the more recent releases of those games. Maybe switching it up and then just going for the release order AFTER Snake Eater is a good idea, I’m not sure! Either way, the potential of even more Metal Gear is exciting nonetheless ❤

Put 100+ hours in mgsv lately in anticipation of the remake. Looks like I’ll be waiting a long time though
I’m hearing November 2024. So you might not be waiting much longer.
There are many a rumour for November this year that I’ve also seen but it seems very much up in the air at the moment. MGSV is brilliant though, maybe give the Master Collection a run through if you haven’t already? It had some issues at launch and its emulation isn’t ’the best’ but its Metal Gear nonetheless ☺️
