Today i was in a concert and heard Messa di Gloria from Puccini for the first time in my life. I was paralyzed and blown away. What a wonderful experience. And the Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra gave a perfect rendition to this great piece of music.

I sang in the chorus of our college's performance of this heartbreakingly gorgeous work. I had never sung anything like this, mostly opera. But hearing it now gives me such joy. Since then I have sung Cherubini's requiem, Saint Saens's Christmas Oratorio, Rossini's incredible Stabat Mater, Handel's Messiah and Brahms's A German Requiem. I go to see performance of them when I can. Nothing, however, quite compares with being in the midst of this music with the other musicians. Can you imagine?
